Say hello to Bo! Bo has been described as a cuddly and loving boy who also appreciates time to himself. His favorite things include spending time outside and going for car rides! Bo is housetrained and will come close and stare at you when he needs to go out; once you lock eyes with him, he will excitedly run to the door. Bo has met and lived with other dogs and did great with them! He has met children but didn't appreciate them being in his personal space. We think Bo would do best in a home with older children who can understand and respect his boundaries. He has not met cats. Slow and proper introductions to resident pets and people are always recommended when bringing home a new furry friend. Ask a TCHS staff member for tips on how to ease the transition! *Adoption holds may be placed on available animals in person or by calling (320) 252-0896. An adoption hold reserves available animals for one day after the animal is ready to be adopted. More than one adoption hold may be placed on an available animal and will be honored in the order they were received. Adoption holds are $25 plus tax, are non-refundable, non-transferable and not applied toward the adoption fee. **Minnesota sales tax and an administrative fee ($20 for cats/dogs and $10 for small animals) will be applied to all adoptions. Donations and adoption fees help cover the cost of spay/neuter surgeries, microchipping, vaccinating, deworming, any medical procedures, and general care of all shelter animals. Say hello to Sugar! She came to TCHS as a transfer from another facility. She did have experience with children and other dogs in the home and did well with both. Slow and proper introductions to resident pets and children are always recommended when bringing a new animal into the home. Ask a TCHS staff for tips on how to ease the transition. Sugar would love to have durable toys to chew on and keep her entertained. Patient and consistent training using treats is a good way to work on obedience cues. Ask a TCHS staff about suggestions for the perfect toy for your new friend from the TCHS Re-Tail Shoppe. *Adoption holds may be placed on available animals in person or by calling 320-252-0896. Meet Ranger! He is a big boy looking for a big place to live. Ranger is accustomed to the rural lifestyle and would love to keep it that way! He spent some time living in the city but didn't adjust well due to all the sights and smells being a little overwhelming. He is used to having the space to run around outside. Ranger would do best with an experienced dog owner who is willing to work on his ever-expanding training. He already knows "fetch," "sit," "stay," and "lay down." But he's excited to continue his training as it provides him with enrichment and apt mental stimulation! Ranger can be nervous around new people and animals, so slow introductions are recommended. Ranger has met other dogs and did well with some and not with others. He has met cats and did well but can get a little too excited around them. He has never met kids. With every new animal - especially Ranger - slow and proper introductions to resident pets and children are highly recommended.
