Story
Crixus is an 8-year-old, 65 lb German Shepherd with a gentle soul and a strong heart. He’s mellow and polite in the home, perfectly potty trained, and happy to lounge under the table or near his people as they go about their day. While he loves a good walk and sniffs everything with purpose, he’s also content to kick back and watch the world go by. He’s kid-friendly, dog-curious (but strong on leash), and loves to be outside. Crixus is  not a good match for homes with cats or small dogs , but could potentially live with another large dog after slow introductions. He’ll be neutered before adoption and is ready to start the next chapter of his life with a calm but active family. Age:8 year old Breed: German Shepherd Weight: 65 lbs Kid-friendly: Yes Dogs:Does well with larger dogs with proper introduction, not great with small dogs Cats:No Crate trained: Yes Potty trained: Yes Health concerns: None at this time Current medications & estimated costs:None.  Will be neutered before being adopted. Adoption fee:$375 As a rescue, we provide the care, procedures and testing that is available to us. Adopters will be responsible for continued preventatives, follow-up appointments, and medications (if applicable). At times, adopters will be responsible for procedures not completed in rescue (dentals, bloodwork, etc.)  Your new dog will receive their rabies and distemper vaccine.  $50 discount for seniors (65+) and veterans. Adoption fees help pay for the dog's veterinary exam, vaccinations (rabies and distemper) HW test and spay/neuter if needed and additional health needs specific to each animal.   Grey Face Rescue does not adopt outside of Minnesota for now. We apologize for the inconvenience.  We do not adopt animals to families whose current pets are not up-to-date on vaccinations or not altered. Exceptions may be made for medical reasons as stated by a veterinarian and we will require proof of that recommendation. Thank you for understanding our mission to reduce overpopulation.  Once you submit your application, our adoption manager will be in touch, so please check your spam folder if you do not see something from us within 7-10 days.  Thank you again for your interest in a Grey Face senior. Story
Meet Haku! He has been described as active, playful, and people-loving! Haku is housetrained and will bark when he needs to go out. He has used to a kennel in his previous home and did well during work hours. Haku knows "sit"! Haku would benefit from basic obedience training to help him work on his manners. He is very treat-motivated! He has not lived with other animals or children but has enjoyed playing with other dogs at the dog park. He can be intimidated by large dogs. All introductions should be slow and proper when bringing home new animals. Ask staff for tips! Haku loves playing with squeaky toys and chew toys to keep him busy. He would benefit from an active family that can give him daily enrichment. Come meet Haku today! *Adoption holds may be placed on available animals in person or by calling (320) 252-0896. An adoption hold reserves available animals for one day after the animal is ready to be adopted. More than one adoption hold may be placed on an available animal and will be honored in the order they were received. Adoption holds are $25 plus tax, are non-refundable, non-transferable and not applied toward the adoption fee. **Minnesota sales tax and an administrative fee ($20 for cats/dogs and $10 for small animals) will be applied to all adoptions. Donations and adoption fees help cover the cost of spay/neuter surgeries, microchipping, vaccinating, deworming, any medical procedures, and general care of all shelter animals. Story
Brownie is a sweet loving girl who needs that extra undivided attention since she has separation anxiety. With plenty of room to run, she does well with smaller dogs while with dogs her size or bigger shows aggression. Brownie also doesn’t do well with younger children but would do well with older children. Not sure how Brownie would do with indoor cats either. I’m willing to send along her food and dishes along with her kennel since we wouldn’t need them as well as her collar and leash!

Story
Sunny is a beautiful girl who is full of energy, intelligence, and affection. She absolutely adores her people and forms strong bonds with the humans she loves. Whether it's joining you for a long walk, exploring a new trail, or simply spending time by your side, she's happiest when she's with her family. She gets along well with other dogs and enjoys canine companionship, making her a great addition to a home with friendly resident pups. As an active girl, she'll thrive with an adopter who can provide regular exercise, mental enrichment, and plenty of opportunities to stretch her legs. Athletic and agile, she can easily clear a 4-foot fence, so she'll need a securely fenced yard with taller fencing or supervised outdoor time. Her intelligence and energy make her an excellent candidate for continued training, hiking adventures, and other active pursuits. If you're looking for a loyal, loving, and adventurous companion who will be devoted to her family, Sunny Girl is ready to be your new best friend.

Story
Sipala had a tough beginning, but you'd never know it from her sweet, devoted nature. After recently raising a beautiful litter of puppies, this gentle mom is now looking for a family of her own. To truly thrive, Sipala needs a calm, child-free home with a secure fenced yard. She is easily spooked by loud noises and sudden movements, so a patient, gentle environment is key. She also requires at least one medium-sized dog to help her feel safe and confident as she explores her new world. Despite her shy moments, Sipala is incredibly playful and high-energy. She loves romping in the yard with her doggy friends and going on long daily walks. When the day is done, she loves nothing more than curling up next to you, soaking up belly rubs, and being brushed. If you have the patience and love to help Sipala blossom, she would love to meet you.
