Story
Meet Zane, a handsome 312 year old, 80 pound pup who is looking for a fresh start with a family of his own. Zane was rescued from Teaneck Animal Shelter in April 2024 after a difficult start in life. Despite his past, he has grown into a smart, loyal, and affectionate dog who loves spending time with his people.
Zane is healthy, neutered, up to date on his vaccinations, and ready for his next chapter. He walks nicely on a leash and knows several commands including heel, stay, down, sit, and comes when called. He's eager to learn, enjoys working with his person, and is happiest when he has something to do. His absolute favorite activities are playing fetch with his ball or Kong, enjoying a good meal, and even joining his people on paddleboard adventures. He loves being included in family life and thrives on companionship.
Zane is looking for a home where he can be the only dog, allowing him to relax and enjoy all the love and attention for himself. If you're looking for a loyal companion who is active, devoted, and ready to be your best friend, Zane may be the perfect match.
ADOPTION PROCESS:
1. You must begin our adoption process by applying to adopt on clawsadopt.org. Please do NOT inquire via Petfinder, social media messengers or in our comments. We will only be looking at applications!
2. Please make sure you fill out our adoption application COMPLETELY. We may not be able to respond to applications that are not completely filled out with the proper information. Side note: on our applications, the more details you provide = the better.
3. We prefer applicants live within 60 miles of Closter, NJ. (Applicants who live farther away may still apply. However, please note we do prioritize local applications as we try our best to serve our local community first.)
4. Please respect our organization, our volunteers and our process. As a reminder, our organization is a nonprofit. We receive no money from the state. We have no paid employees! This is a polite reminder that we are doing our best to make the right decisions for the animals in our care. Thank you.
