Story
Coco is a 3.5 year-old husky/lab or husky/shepherd mix. She has the softest, most beautiful fur, and she'll let you pet her forever if you wish. She: Is house trained Doesn't like the crate and doesn't need it Will be perfect on the leash (with a bit more training) Loves playing with other dogs Enjoys playing with toys and loves to run after balls Knows the "drop it" command, and understands the command "go" (along with a finger point) if she's in your personal space Sleeps all night Is very affectionate and will quickly attach to you Is a perfect 50 pound lap dog - lol Is good in the car Doesn't love to be left alone at home, but if given a good treat before you leave she will calm down Will bark at strangers but will listen and calm down quickly Waits for a signal to go outside Is fully vetted, spayed, and up to date on her vaccinations Coco is doing wonderfully in foster and has come so far but she is a little bit of a work in progress. She is a very intelligent dog, who needs some guidance to help her heal from her past. She needs someone who sees that as a gift, not a burden, and who understands that her small "bad" habits, like jumping when excited, or wanting to share your food, are signs of a dog who never learned boundaries. For the right person, these aren't problems; they're opportunities. With a patient, loving, positive attitude, Coco will further develop her confidence and calmness. You'll be the one to show her what a stable, loving home feels like. You'll be her anchor; and in return, she will give you an unbreakable loving bond. We think she will do best as an only dog or with a submissive, calm dog who will give her some space. Please consider giving Coco her first real, forever home. She's been waiting for someone just like you for so long.
