Story
Baby Blunis the sweetest, most loving dog. He is very high energy and loves to be cuddled, take long walks, and go to the dog park. I do not have the time and resources to take care of him the way he deserves. He has an extra large crate, dog food, lots of toys, and food enhancers. He eats mostly dry dog food. He has all of his shots up to date and he is not neutered. He goes outside on his own to use the bathroom and he will come when he is called. He is a very friendly dog and has lots of energy.

Story
Drake is a strikingly handsome 3-year-old German Shepherd who’s looking for a special family to match his zest for life. Despite facing some serious medical challenges, his bright personality and energetic spirit remain completely undiminished. This boy is all about living life to the fullest!Drake’s foster mom describes him as high-energy, fun-loving, and the ultimate companion for anyone who loves adventure. He’s a social butterfly who thrives on being part of the action, whether it`s playing with humans or roughhousing with other dogs. He’s even been living with a trainer and her two dogs—both male and female—and has gotten along fabulously. Here’s what makes Drake truly special: Drake has excellent house manners and is crate trained, making him an easy fit for a structured home. He already knows some obedience commands and is eager to learn more. He’s a working breed through and through, so keeping his mind and body busy is key to his happiness. When summer comes around, Drake’s favorite pastime is playing in the sprinkler—he could happily splash around all day if you let him! Drake would thrive in a home with another playful dog who loves to roughhouse as much as he does. Drake’s ideal home is one that understands the needs of an active, working-breed dog. He’ll need plenty of physical and mental stimulation to channel his energy in positive ways. Because of his prey drive, he’s not a match for homes with small animals, but he’ll be an amazing companion for an active person or family.Drake was diagnosed with Exocrine Pancreatic Insufficiency (EPI). This is the inability to produce sufficient amounts of pancreatic enzymes needed for digestion. EPI is a chronic lifelong condition that cannot be cured but successfully managed. He will need to remain on a prescribed pancreatic enzyme replacement for life. It is imperative Drake`s adopter establish a close working relationship with an Veterinary specialist to provide Drake with the best lifelong care.If you’re ready to open your heart to this incredible boy and give him the love and support he deserves, Drake will repay you with endless loyalty, fun, and unforgettable moments. Please note Drake resides in a foster home and is not available for same day meet and greets. If interested in learning more about Drake or scheduling a meet and greet, please contact the foster team at foster@cuyahogacounty.gov today!

Story
Harold is a young and energetic German Shepherd mix who`s been thriving in his training. He`s a smart boy who keeps a clean kennel, is learning to walk nicely on a leash, and is picking up his basic commands like a champ. This handsome guy loves the water, a good game of fetch, and playing with other dogs—especially those who match his playful, energetic vibe. Harold does great with like-minded canine friends, but he`d prefer a home without cats. He can be a little nervous when meeting new people, but with patience and routines, he warms up and shows his sweet, goofy personality. Harold would do best in a home with dog-savvy kids aged 12 and up who can give him the support he needs.Harold is currently looking for a foster home—someone who will continue to expose him to new situations, help build his confidence and attend training classes as needed (with support from the shelter). He’s a fun, active companion who’s ready to keep learning and exploring the world around him.If you`re ready to help Harold on his journey, email foster@cuyahogacounty.gov — he might just be the perfect match for you!

Stella is a 1-year-old German Shepherd/Rottweiler mix who is one smart cookie! Stella has already mastered loose leash walking and her basic commands. She’s great in the car, keeps a clean kennel, and loves nothing more than snuggling up in a cozy blanket after a fun enrichment session. Stella also loves her playtime with other like-sized, energetic dogs.Stella can be a bit shy when meeting new people, so she’s looking for a patient, understanding family who can give her the time and space to build trust. Because of this, she would do best in a home without young children or feline friends. If you’re interested in meeting—or fostering—Stella, please reach out to foster@cuyahogacounty.gov. She can’t wait to find her perfect match!
