Story
Sky is a very friendly girl who enjoys company of all kinds whether it be people or other dogs. She is still young and learning everyday but is overall a very well rounded puppy. She is house trained and crate trained (she may not want to go in occasionally but with a treat anything is possible). Sky is not very vocal, unless she is crated when she doesn’t want to be but only for a short amount of time. She does not bark. Sky does very well with other dogs and is super playful. She seems to pick up on cues from other dogs if they are not wanting to engage in play and will leave them alone. She may be submissive with other pups at first but rest assured she will warm up within 5 minutes. Sky still needs some work with how she greets people, she is very excitable and will jump in the first couple of minutes but she always settles down. I have a busy schedule and am going to be moving soon where I do not think I can keep her, I wish I could but I want to do right by her.

Kita was found on 9/3/2026 at 600 W Jefferson in Cottage Grove. She came into the shelter already spayed. If you believe this is your missing dog, please contact the shelter at (541) 689-1503. Since this dog is new to the shelter and we are still looking for their family, they are not viewable on the adoption floor at this time.The shelter staff is giving me some time to settle in and adjust to this new place. As we get to know each other a little better, the behavior team and veterinary staff will then be evaluating my needs. Please stay tuned for my updated information!Our shelter software requires that we choose a primary breed for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs can be unreliable and for most dogs we are only guessing at their primary breed.
