Story
Lotus was brought home by my thirteen year olds suns friend from the carolinas in december. He could not keep her due to the landlord. My brother fostered her , but then his wife got pregnant so they cannot give their full attention to this beautiful dog. I had her many a weekend's and i've fallen in love with her. But i'm moving out at the end of the month and cannot keep her. I'm glad my family and I were able to foster her and keep her loved and fed and played with.... She is strong. She needs to run a lot.She does listen , she does sit , she does give paws. She is the sweetest little velcro dog. Please someone find it in your heart to love her and take her home.Please.

Story
Meet Gunner, your future best friend with a story of resilience and a heart of gold. Gunner is a handsome German Shepherd who proves every day that nothing can slow him down. After being hit by a car, Gunner lost one of his legs, but he hasn’t lost an ounce of his spirit. This incredible tripod gets around with confidence, determination, and a joyful energy that’s truly inspiring to watch. Gunner is as friendly as they come. He loves meeting new people and greets everyone like an old friend. He enjoys going for walks, exploring the world around him, and soaking up attention from his favorite humans. Don’t let the three legs fool you—Gunner still enjoys playtime, adventures, and being part of whatever you’re doing. While Gunner does well passing other dogs out on walks and in public settings, he is looking for a home where he can be the only pet. He prefers not to share his space and would thrive as your one-and-only companion, soaking up all the love and attention for himself. Gunner is looking for someone who sees how special he is—not in spite of his journey, but because of it. If you’re ready for a loyal, affectionate, and inspiring companion, Gunner is ready to meet you. Could that person be you? Story
Ella is a beautiful 3.5-year-old, 55-pound husky with stunning blue eyes looking for her perfect home! This sweet girl absolutely loves people and is ready for a family to share life’s adventures with. Ella is an active, fun-loving husky who enjoys going to the dog park, where she loves to run and chase other dogs while playing. She also loves going for hikes and exploring the outdoors with her people. One of Ella’s favorite things in the world? Car rides! She loves sticking her head out the window and “biting” at the wind with pure joy on her face. At home, Ella enjoys relaxing outside, happily watching people walk by the house and taking in the world around her. If you’re looking for a loyal adventure buddy who loves people, enjoys the outdoors, and will happily ride shotgun on every errand, Ella may be your perfect match! She has not lived with young children so we'd prefer teenagers for her. Ella's adoption includes, spay, rabies, vaccines, microchip, and 6 months flea/heartworm prevention. She comes with her records. Transport and a health check from a licensed veterinarian also included. Ella lives on an Alabama foster home and will transport when adopted. Next transport delivers 6/5. We have lowered her fee $200 because she's already been in Rescue for six months. Her Foster Mom loves her and think she's a wonderful dog, but we rescue dogs to find them homes. $385 total adoption fee includes transportation. Serious Adopters should fill out the application online and we will be with you ASAP. Story
Meet Max ❤️ This loyal 5‑year‑old German Shepherd is the perfect blend of calm and playful—an easygoing guy who enjoys a laid‑back life but also loves showing off his happy trot when it’s time for a walk or when he gets excited. Max has lived peacefully with other dogs, is fully house‑trained and crate‑trained, and prefers a home that’s steady and predictable but still has room for light fun. He hasn’t met cats or kids yet, so a family willing to introduce new experiences slowly and respectfully would be ideal. Max’s journey includes a small medical piece, but it’s one that’s easily supported with consistent care. He has hypothyroidism, a common condition where the thyroid glands don't produce enough of the thyroid hormone. Treatment is straightforward—just a daily medication—and many dogs with this condition live long, happy, normal lives. Hypothyroidism can make dogs lower‑energy or prone to weight gain. He’ll thrive in a home that appreciates a slower pace, can keep up with his medication schedule, and wants a gentle, happy companion by their side. Apply to adopt Max today, or email dogs@rispca.org with any questions! 🐶
