Story
Leo Local is currently in RI and looking for a 'furever' home! A sweet and resilient boy who is ready for a fresh start. His former family loved him deeply but fell on hard times, living in their car while trying to keep him safe. Now Leo is looking for an understanding family to call his own. Leo is friendly with dogs, people, and kids ten and older. He lived with two dogs before and would do best in a home with another friendly dog for companionship. He is very affectionate, energetic, and loves hiking with his foster. When the fun is done, he’s happiest curled up beside you. Leo is experiencing separation anxiety, so he needs someone who works from home and can help him feel secure as he learns that being alone is okay. With patience, structure, and another dog by his side, Leo will learn he is safe again. **Due to clinic delays: this puppy will be available for adoption with the collection of an additional $100 spay/neuter voucher deposit, which will be refunded upon receipt of successful procedure at our partnering clinic. If you are interested in adopting this dog please complete the adoption application at www.rhodehomerescue.org/adoption-form to become a pre-approved adopter. If you were already approved through Rhode Home Rescue within the last 6 months, contact us today! Story
Ollie Local is currently in RI and looking for a 'furever' home! Ollie is a stunning husky, border collie, Great Pyrenees mix with a big personality and an even bigger love for people. This pup is always ready for an adventure and enjoys being by his person’s side, whether that means car rides, exploring, or just hanging out together. Ollie is smart, treat motivated, and eager to learn, making training a fun and rewarding experience. He’s still a baby and will thrive with an experienced, active home that can continue his training and socialization. Ollie would love an active, playful doggy pal in his home and would do best with older, dog savvy kids. A fenced yard is preferred so he can safely burn off energy and enjoy his puppy fun. Ollie has so much potential and is ready to grow into an amazing companion with the right family. Meet Shadow! This smart, inquisitive sweetheart is wrapped in the softest fur and topped off with that irresistible husky charm! She’s full of curiosity, playfulness, and love for life. Shadow adores spending time with both her dog pals and her human friends. She’s always ready to make a new best friend! And while we humans may be bracing ourselves for the colder months, Shadow is thrilled at the thought of snow! She’s dreaming of winter adventures with her future family. We aren't sure how she would do with cats, but she is friendly with dogs and children. Shadow is spayed, microchipped, and up to date on all her vaccines. All that’s missing is a loving home where she can grow, play, and share her big heart. If you’re looking for a fun-loving companion who’s ready to take on winter (and every season after) by your side, Shadow may just be the perfect match!

Story
Meet Davis! Davis has come such a long way from his rough beginnings. Found living outside on a chain with little human interaction, he was shy and unsure of the world. With patience and love from his foster family, Davis has blossomed into a happy, playful pup with a quirky personality and the most mesmerizing ice-blue eyes. This medium-energy boy loves romping and wrestling with his dog siblings—he’s learned so much about how to be a dog from them! Because of this, Davis would thrive in a home with other well-socialized dogs to keep teaching him and to share in playtime. He also needs a securely fenced yard where he can run, chase, and play to his heart’s content.Davis is housetrained, crate trained, and travels well in the car (though he’s still getting used to it). On leash, he can be a little timid in new situations, but he walks politely and is gaining confidence every day. He doesn’t have a history with children, and he will need a cat-free home as he shows prey drive toward small animals. While Davis is much braver than when he was first rescued, he’s still easily startled by loud noises or quick movements—so he’ll need a patient, understanding family who will give him time to adjust. In return, he’ll reward you with loyalty, love, and the sweetest husky-style “talking” when he gets excited. If you’re looking for a resilient, playful, and affectionate pup who’s ready to continue his journey in a loving forever home, Davis may be the one for you.Name: DavisBreed: Husky/CrossbreedSex: MaleAge: 1 year  (estimated)Weight: 55 lbsSpayed/Neutered: YesVaccinations: Up to dateHeartworm: Treatment completed 11/25/25Microchipped: YesBASED ON OUR OBSERVATIONS: Good with Children: UnknownGood with Dogs: YesGood with Cats: No has high prey drive.Adoption Fee: $550.00  (includes transport fee when applicable)Location of dog currently:    Tennessee  IMPORTANT INFORMATION - Paws New England is a foster-based rescue; our dogs reside in various locations throughout the south & New England.  Adoption donations cover pre-adoption vet costs (including vaccinations, spay/neuter when age appropriate, and heartworm testing/treatment when necessary), a microchip, and transportation to New England if necessary.Donations for our young, healthy puppies and dogs support their fellow canines of advanced age or suffering from injuries and abuse whose donations are reduced but whose veterinary costs are typically much higher. Story
Meet Esme Esme is a whole vibe. This 3-5 year old girl is equal parts zest and snuggle. Whether you want to cuddle on the couch, take a ride, work on some cooking in the kitchen, go for a long walk in the woods, or BBQ with friends, she's just happy to be involved. As long as there's air conditioning, that is. As you'd expect from a husky in a Pit Bull rescue, this girl can fit in anywhere. Some pups come with emotional baggage. Esme's is a bit more... physical. For her health and comfort, she could use some help shedding a few pounds (something we're already working on). Luckily she absolutely loves a long walk, and is always eager to step out. We suspect her energy will increase as her size decreases, so if you're looking to graduate from long walks to hikes, this is your girl. She also absolutely ADORES tennis balls, and is always down to play a little catch, or just entertain herself bouncing the ball around. This girl is on a journey. We don't know much about her past, but we know she's known love, and we're excited for her to find it again. She's only been in her foster home for a few days, but she's settled in quickly, proving to be a little goofy, deeply thoughtful, and up for anything - every time we ask "What do you say, Esme?", her answer is "Yes!". We're looking forward to learning more about her, and helping her find her forever - if you think that could be you, please reach out! Story
Introducing Jax! Jax is fresh off his photo shoot with Polar Square Designs and ready to find a home! Jax is a young (approx. 2yrs old) goofy, and playful pup full of energy. His days are filled with chasing his tail, playing fetch with anyone who'll join, and exploring his surroundings. Jax's vivacious spirit is infectious! He has not lived with another dog before so potential adopters with dogs will need to a meet and greet. No cats or small animals for this guy, he's a chaser. Jax is neutered and current on vaccinations. Contact us to arrange a time to meet Jax!
