Story
Sahara is our two year old, previously feral German Shepherd mama who came to us a year ago from Palmdale desert in California. A friend reached out to us saying she was found in the desert and being cared for by a kind samaritan but needed a rescue to step in and help, so we said yes! She gave birth to 10 adorable puppies out there. Sahara has come out of her shell tons in the past year. She is house trained, crate trained, trained to go in and out of the car, can go on off leash hikes, is wonderful on leash AND is great with dogs/kids/humans. She is the total package. She can still be timid with initial greetings and take a little bit to warm up but once she does, she is the biggest love bug you will ever meet and super loyal to her family. Sahara is one of the sweetest and most sensitive dogs who will thrive with a family who is caring, loving, patient and kind.

Story
Looking for your one and only? So is Gracie. Gracie is a gorgeous 4.5-year-old German Shepherd with 80 pounds of loyalty, love, and playful energy. She's smart, stunning, and absolutely devoted to her people—Gracie lights up around humans and bonds deeply with everyone she meets. Her ideal home? One where she can soak up all the attention, and get all the love, and snuggles you have to give. This girl is happiest outside—she’s a fetch fanatic who gently drops the ball at your feet and waits with hopeful eyes for the next throw. While she’s not big on treats, she’ll do just about anything for her favorite toys, and she thrives in a fenced yard where she can run, play, and show off her goofy, joyful side.Gracie is house-trained, crate-trained, and a quiet, polite housemate. Every now and then she might get curious about what’s on the counter (who wouldn’t?), but she responds well to gentle guidance and learns quickly. She’s eager to please, and her intelligent, loyal nature makes her a dream for someone who enjoys both play and companionship.Because she wants all your love to herself, Gracie must be the only pet in the home—but trust us, she’s more than enough. Her big heart has room for you, your family, and all the cuddles you can give.If you’re looking for a devoted, loving best friend who will be by your side through every adventure, Gracie is ready to be the center of your universe. Story
Say hello to Nova! At just 1½ years old and 26 pounds, this small Siberian Husky girl is a perfect mix of beauty and brains. Her stunning blue eyes will stop you in your tracks—but it’s her loving personality that will truly win you over. She’s incredibly smart and thrives when she has a job to do. With sled dog or agility potential, she’d be an amazing match for someone who loves to bike, run, hike, or camp. She’s happiest when she’s active and part of the adventure! She adores people and is working hard on keeping all four paws on the floor when she says hello (she just gets so excited!). She’s kennel/crate trained and doing great on her potty training as we fine-tune her routine. She’s wonderful with other dogs, cats, and children—and she plays especially cute with her feline friends. While she can be a little timid at times, she blossoms quickly with reassurance and love. She’ll need a home with a fenced yard to safely burn off energy but she is definitely an indoor dog for meals and at night. Bonus: she doesn’t have the typical thick Husky coat, so grooming is a breeze! If you’re looking for an active, affectionate, blue-eyed adventure buddy, she’s your girl. Nova has been spayed, is current on vaccines, has tested negative for heartworm and is microchipped and ready for her forever home. If you are interested in adopting Nova, please complete an application on our website (uaaf.org/adopt). For more information, call/text Maryjo at 801-809-0602 or email maryjokorb@gmail.com.
