Story
A little about moose. Very friendly, loves fetch, good manners most of the time, loves kids, loves other dogs, good off leash, likes to be outside to play, knows all basic commands. No cats in new home. He does pee in new areas outside to mark. Does well with elderly family members. Does well in family/friends homes. He can pull on leash without harness. Why are we rehoming? Doesn’t get along with our elderly cat. Prey drive behaviors started when we moved 3 years ago. He has hurt/killed 2 stray cats in our backyard. With my toddlers opening and closing the door all day I can’t control when he comes in so I can’t keep the cat away. It’s been causing me a lot of stress the past year. I’ve tried special door locks, dogs gates, anxiety medication from our vet office. I’ve called many dog trainers this year and all but 2 said it would he nearly impossible to train him to stop it and I wouldn’t ever be able to keep him home alone with the cat in the house.

Story
Lobo is a 6 year old Husky Malamute mix. He is very sweet and loving. He is also playful and full on energy. Prior to our family taking him in, our son and girlfriend would bring him for visits along with her other dogs. Lobo belonged to her brother and girlfriend who were needing to rehome him as they were living in an apartment and having their first baby. As you can imagine apartment life is not ideal for this breed. My son wanted to take him in and we’d all fallen in love with him so we agreed under the conditions that everyone would need to help out to support his needs since we both work 2 jobs and have busy schedules. He is great with other dogs and with our grandkids. His personality has really been coming to life since being in our home. He is very loved and spoiled, but we are struggling to give him the time and attention he needs and our son is moving out of state. Lobo loves to snuggle and be wherever you are. His favorite things are walks, dog park and car rides.
