Moonpie is big boy who has had a rough start. Found abandoned in a carrier on a busy street, he was completely terrified, confused, and overwhelmed. This poor boy doesn't understand where he is or why he was left behind. It's tough to know his exact age given the circumstances of his abandonment, but he is a mature adult (5-6 years old, according to our vet). When the vet examined him, they determined that he had Entropion on both eyes, which means that his eyelashes curled inward instead of outward, which causes incredible pain and even blindness if left untreated. We immediately got him the surgery he needed to fix both eyes, and the immediate relief was clear ($2400 later!). We also got him neutered and vaccinated, so he's ready to go to his new home. He has so much to offer and just needs a chance to feel safe again. He would do best in a home without other feline friends.
