With time, gentle care, and soft voices, she has started to come out of her shell. Now a young adult, Shirley is still learning that the world can be a safe and loving place. She may take a little time to warm up, but once she does, her sweet and sensitive nature shines through. Once you get past his defense mechanisms, he is a little purr machine! Squeeze up treats will show him that you are to be trusted.  He experienced scary things on his own, and he wants to make sure that he is in safe hands before he commits himself!  He never wants to be heartbroken. . . but once you win him over, you will have a friend for life.
