She doesn’t like it when humans reach for her. She would like to be left to do her thing, and if you push her on that, she’ll bolt. She is much more willing to share space with humans than even a year ago, though.  Hope needs a patient and understanding human who will let her learn to feel safe at her own pace.  March 7, 2026, 6:20 pm

***The first step in the adoption process is to complete the application at www.emmetcountyanimalshelter.org*** Sweet little Mary Ann was born summer of 2021 and lived in a foster home until she was old enough to join the kitties at the shelter.  Her transition was a slow one and she wasn't sure about all the strangers and everything going on but to know her silly self now you wouldn't ever guess!  She has taken over the job of 'helping' with litter box scooping and her favorite thing to do is to be flipped over for a tummy rub.  Mary Ann gets along great with the other cats in her room and is always playing with someone or something even if she can't find a toy a piece of fuzz can entertain her all morning long.  She is often seen hanging out with her equally silly sister Ginger.  The two love to run on the cat wheel together and make quite the pair!  Even though the two girls had been separated for awhile, it took no time at all for them to remember one another and become fast friends once again. Mary Ann is spayed, up to date on vaccinations and microchipped.  As always our cat and kitten adoption fee is free will to approved applicants. March 7, 2026, 6:20 pm

He's always ready for some love from the humans coming in & out of the room all day & boy would he ever just let you pet & love on him all day long if you let it happen! Howard can often be found lounging in a pile of other cats in the room with him. He can get grumpy with the younger kitties but he definitely seems to get along just fine with the older ones. Howard would love a home where he has lots of comfy & warm spots to lay & a nice human to pet him to his heart's content. He'd do well with another older cat or two, in a home with older children or no children. Howard is up to date on his vaccines & is neutered.
