Story
FANCY A CAT WITH A FANCY BUTT?Simone Biles (F, 1 y 7 mos) the cat has a lot in common with Simone Biles the star athlete. Both have overcome adversity to rise high, and are an inspiration in their ability to bounce back.Simone was left to fend for herself on the streets while suffering from a prolapsed anus. Poor Simone went from one house to the next meowing for help until a Good Samaritan took her in and contacted AARF. Show Your Soft Side’s Street Kitty Medical Fund helped Simone get her needed surgery and now she is one happy girl who can give all the shiny butt greetings you could wish for.Simone is a healthy, playful cat who has long forgotten her sad past. She loves to play and snuggle, and her favorite robot laser toy will come with her to her new home. She has a great appetite and is not picky and her new improved backside does its job admirably. She does get constipated on occasion, but a little bit of Miralax in her food fixes that. Not only does Simone have the gold standard of all rear ends, her front end is pretty awesome too! She is one smart kitty cat who knows high-five and loves to be sung to. (Her foster parents say she prefers Mony Mony by Billy Idol, but we’re pretty sure she’ll love any song you can sing.)If you`d like to take this kitty home, please fill out an adoption application at this link- https://animalalliesrescue.org/cat-application! The adoption fee is $150.00, and covers all expenses needed to prepare kitties like this one for their forever homes. By the time you meet them, they`ve already been spayed/neutered (if age-appropriate) and microchipped. They`ve been checked by a veterinarian and are up to date on age-appropriate immunizations against rabies and FVRCP (feline viral rhinotracheitis, calicivirus & panleukopenia). Some of our cats have even undergone extensive medical care to ensure they`re ready for a happy, healthy life with you! .

Story
Hi. My name is Lydia. First things first, I want to straighten out some of the things that have been said about me. For instance, I have seen myself described as “chunky.” Well. No. Short waisted maybe; compact, yes I agree. But chunky? I mean look at me. The very picture of “cat.” Soft and beautiful fur... the whole cat thing: I’ve got it going.I’ve also been called “sassy,” in that I have some sense of personal space and where on my body petting is welcomed. I might fit this word. It’s true, for instance, that I am not fond of being picked up and squirm a bit until my four feet are back on the ground. And perhaps my love bites are lighter on love with a bit more emphasis on bite. And don’t even think about touching the spot right by my tail unless you enjoy being swatted. If you’d had the life I’ve had, maybe you’d squirm and swat, too. I mean, the last thing I remember before coming to my foster home was being dumped in a parking lot. That’s no fun.Anyway, so some of what you might have heard is right on. That’s why the best home for me will be one without small children. They just don’t understand that some of us can be a little cranky. But get me with people who get me and see exactly how we all can be happy. I love being near people. I even am chatty in the right company. I remember hearing about a fellow feline - she was lovely and soft and short-waisted like me. Whenever her family’s friends would come over to visit, the first thing they did was pet this cat. Which sometimes led to unpredictable love biting. But guess what? No blood was shed and when this cat accepted them, they were honored. They thought she was the best cat ever; a real personality. I never met that cat, and I have no interest in meeting her or any other cats (I`ll need a forever home with no other cats, please!), but I dig her style. If you think you’d like a cat with personality in your family—me— let’s get together. Please fill out an adoption application at this website—https://animalalliesrescue.org/cat-application—and choose me, Lydia! My adoption fee is $50 and AARF wants me to tell you that their adoption package covers all expenses needed to prepare kitties like me for our forever homes. Story
Have you ever found yourself sitting on top of your cat tree and thinking, `everything the light touches...is my kingdom`? No? Maybe that`s just me. My name is Simba, and I am ready to take my rightful place as king (of your house).Don`t worry, though. I`m not some sort of spoiled royal with an attitude. I might take a little while to warm up to you when you take me home, but after a few days I`ll be ready for snuggles. And chin scratches. By kingly decree, I do demand daily chin scratches. I love to play with my toys, and the ribbon toys are my favorite (so that way you can join in too)! And once playtime is over, I`m happy to monitor my kingdom from the top of the cat tree or sit next to a window so I can look at the birds. It`s always good to keep an eye on the outside avian subjects -- who knows what they might be up to.As long as we`re slowly and properly introduced, I`m happy to share my kingdom with any other cats you might have. But if you want me as your one and only cat, I`m fine with that too. Either way, you can show your love and appreciation for my benevolent rule by petting my fur (I keep it super soft!) and providing me with food. Because food is AWESOME. I`m on a prescription diet -- it`s one of my few kingly demands. Everyone knows the lion is the king of the jungle, but you can`t have one of those in the house. You can take me home instead! And then we can live happily ever after. If you`d like to take me home, please fill out an adoption application at this website – https://animalalliesrescue.org/cat-application – and choose me, Simba! My adoption fee is $150 and AARF wants me to tell you that their adoption package covers all expenses needed to prepare kitties like me for our forever homes. By the time you meet us, we’ve already been spayed/neutered (if age-appropriate) and microchipped. We’ve been checked by a veterinarian, and we’re up to date on age-appropriate immunizations against rabies and FVRCP (feline viral rhinotracheitis, calicivirus & panleukopenia). Some of us have had extensive surgeries, dental work, or other necessary procedures. AARF is committed to getting all of us entirely ready for a happy, healthy, love-filled life!
