Story
Have you ever found yourself sitting on top of your cat tree and thinking, `everything the light touches...is my kingdom`? No? Maybe that`s just me. My name is Simba, and I am ready to take my rightful place as king (of your house).Don`t worry, though. I`m not some sort of spoiled royal with an attitude. I might take a little while to warm up to you when you take me home, but after a few days I`ll be ready for snuggles. And chin scratches. By kingly decree, I do demand daily chin scratches. I love to play with my toys, and the ribbon toys are my favorite (so that way you can join in too)! And once playtime is over, I`m happy to monitor my kingdom from the top of the cat tree or sit next to a window so I can look at the birds. It`s always good to keep an eye on the outside avian subjects -- who knows what they might be up to.As long as we`re slowly and properly introduced, I`m happy to share my kingdom with any other cats you might have. But if you want me as your one and only cat, I`m fine with that too. Either way, you can show your love and appreciation for my benevolent rule by petting my fur (I keep it super soft!) and providing me with food. Because food is AWESOME. I`m on a prescription diet -- it`s one of my few kingly demands. Everyone knows the lion is the king of the jungle, but you can`t have one of those in the house. You can take me home instead! And then we can live happily ever after. If you`d like to take me home, please fill out an adoption application at this website – https://animalalliesrescue.org/cat-application – and choose me, Simba! My adoption fee is $150 and AARF wants me to tell you that their adoption package covers all expenses needed to prepare kitties like me for our forever homes. By the time you meet us, we’ve already been spayed/neutered (if age-appropriate) and microchipped. We’ve been checked by a veterinarian, and we’re up to date on age-appropriate immunizations against rabies and FVRCP (feline viral rhinotracheitis, calicivirus & panleukopenia). Some of us have had extensive surgeries, dental work, or other necessary procedures. AARF is committed to getting all of us entirely ready for a happy, healthy, love-filled life!

A BIT OF CLASS AND A BIT OF SASS : MEET LOVELY LUSCIOUS LYDIA!Gorgeous Lydia has everything. Class, conversational skills and plenty of opinions. Lydia is Miss Purr-So-Nality. That would be Miss Personality with a bit of sass. You may think she’s a tad shy when you meet her, but don’t take her at face value. Once Lydia trusts you, she becomes a chatterbox that won’t leave your side. Once you have passed muster, Lydia will be the president of your personal fan club. Closed doors are a no-no in Lydialand, she will sit and complain until you open the door so she can adore you again. After all, why would you want to stay separate from all the curvy awesomeness that is Lydia?Forget about other cats, Lydia is all you need. Once you’ve been approved by Lydia, she does not want to share you with any other animals. It is no wonder that Lydia is so appreciative of kind humans. Poor Lydia was abandoned twice; once when she was a wee kitten and then again when she was ten years old. She has not given up on humans, she has just learned to be a bit cautious when meeting them for the first time.Do you work from home? Lydia is the perfect work buddy who prefers to admire you from afar. She does enjoy the occasional pet, but on her own terms. She is a bit overenthusiastic in the love nip department, so she will need an experienced owner with no kids. Lydia would like to spend the rest of her years chatting happily with a kind human who knows that kitties should not be left to fend for themselves in random parking lots and respects the no-pet zone near her tail. If you`d like to take this kitty home, please fill out an adoption application at this link- https://animalalliesrescue.org/cat-application! The adoption fee is $150.00, and covers all expenses needed to prepare kitties like this one for their forever homes. By the time you meet them, they`ve already been spayed/neutered (if age-appropriate) and microchipped. They`ve been checked by a veterinarian and are up to date on age-appropriate immunizations against rabies and FVRCP (feline viral rhinotracheitis, calicivirus & panleukopenia). Some of our cats have even undergone extensive medical care to ensure they`re ready for a happy, healthy life with you!

A CAT THAT LIKES BELLY RUBS?Yes!! Lizzy loves belly rubs and she cannot think of anything better than spending time with her humans getting plenty of pets. Lizzy is a bit cautious to begin with, but don’t let that fool you. Once she gets to know you, she is an affectionate people pleaser. In Lizzy’s mind there is no such thing as too much peopling, she wants all pets and snuggles she can get and sleeps on your bed at night, so you can drift to sleep listening to her gentle purrs. Playtime is catnip time! Give Miss Lizzy a catnip toy and she’s a happy camper.Lizzy does have diabetes and is on a special diet for food allergies, but both are easily managed. She gets a tablet daily for her diabetes and is fed a prescription diet for her sensitive tummy. She gets along well with kids and laid-back cats and dogs. She looked out for her blind sister during her first two years of life so when it comes to other animals, she is more of a leader than a follower. If you`d like to take this kitty home, please fill out an adoption application at this link - https://animalalliesrescue.org/cat-application. The adoption fee is $100 and covers all expenses needed to prepare kitties like this one for their forever homes. Story
FANCY A CAT WITH A FANCY BUTT?Simone Biles the cat has a lot in common with Simone Biles the star athlete. Both have overcome adversity to rise high, and are an inspiration in their ability to bounce back.Simone was left to fend for herself on the streets while suffering from a prolapsed anus. Poor Simone went from one house to the next meowing for help until a Good Samaritan took her in and contacted AARF. Show Your Soft Side’s Street Kitty Medical Fund helped Simone get her needed surgery and now she is one happy girl who can give all the shiny butt greetings you could wish for.Simone is a healthy, playful cat who has long forgotten her sad past. She loves to play and snuggle, and her favorite robot laser toy will come with her to her new home. She has a great appetite and is not picky and her new improved backside does its job admirably. She does get constipated on occasion, but a little bit of Miralax in her food fixes that. Not only does Simone have the gold standard of all rear ends, her front end is pretty awesome too! She is one smart kitty cat who knows high-five and loves to be sung to. (Her foster parents say she prefers Mony Mony by Billy Idol, but we’re pretty sure she’ll love any song you can sing.)If you`d like to take this kitty home, please fill out an adoption application at this link- https://animalalliesrescue.org/cat-application! Story
Sweet, cuddly Betty would be perfect ... if her poop chute wasn`t a bit slow.Betty’s bowels have been x-rayed and she spent a night at the vet for observation. The diagnosis: there is nothing visibly wrong, her intestines just need to develop some more. She strains in the pan and leaves little poops on her travels through the house, think Hansel and Gretel, only browner. She leaves 2-3 peanut M&M sized poops and 4-5 raisin sized pooplets. Her trail is easy to clean up as the morsels are pretty firm. She gets meds twice daily to help the brown stuff move. Betty may be able to switch to high-fiber food and stop taking her meds entirely when she (and her poop chute) have finished growing. Now for the good stuff! Betty is gentle, playful and cuddly. She loves wand toys, chases balls all over the house and when she`s all tuckered out, she will bake biscuits next to her foster mom or snuggle on her chest while purring up a storm. She is friendly with humans and cats, and would love to share her home with another cat.If you`d like to take this kitty home, please fill out an adoption application at this link - https://animalalliesrescue.org/cat-application. The adoption fee is $150 and covers all expenses needed to prepare kitties like this one for their forever homes. FROSTY WILL KEEP YOU WARM!Frosty’s name has more to do with the freezing cold house he was found in last winter than any frosty behavior on his part. He may be a bit shy to begin with but once he is comfortable, he turns into a cuddly lap cat who loves to have long conversations with his human. He can be a bit loud, but that’s only because he wants to be in your lap RIGHT NOW! His foster mom says that the moment she sits down on the floor, she has Frosty climbing all over her.Frosty loves to lounge on his scratch pad and plays happily with his toys, but if you were to ask him what is at the top of his favorite toy list he would meow loud and clear “CATNIP BANANAS!” Don’t expect the bananas to last long, there are rumors that his first banana expired within minutes.Frosty gets along with other cats fine, but his main concern is getting as many pets as possible from his human. Who can blame him after being abandoned in a cold dank house?Apply for Frosty and prepare for plenty of good conversation and expert snuggles! If you`d like to take this kitty home, please fill out an adoption application at this link- https://animalalliesrescue.org/cat-application! The adoption fee is $100.00, and covers all expenses needed to prepare kitties like this one for their forever homes. This is Little Man! He was found roaming the streets of Baltimore. He’s friendly but young, so he has a good amount of rambunctious kitten energy. He LOVES small dogs and also other cats. He would do great in a home with another pet that is interested in playing and snuggling. Little man enjoys playing with toys, like little balls he can bat around the house. He uses the litter-box great, even if it hasn’t been scooped in a few days. He is a very sweet boy, and would love a lively household, perhaps with other social pets.

Story
Mommy cat Blinkie was found on the Brookstone Condos property outside of Mt. Washington, Baltimore. We are not sure where she came from. She may have been abandoned by someone or she may have been born there. We trapped Blinkie this past Spring as we suspected she was pregnant. We were correct and she delivered 3 beautiful babies the next day. The entire family has been living with their foster mom who has done a great job turning her into a sweet and sassy girl. Blinkie is ready for her forever home with an experienced cat person who will be patient and gently help her come into her own. Are you that person? Please consider adopting Blinkie.! We Thank You!

He’s a total diva — independent, confident, and full of personality. He loves having his own space and shows affection on *his* terms, which makes it even sweeter when he chooses you. He enjoys the outdoors, sunbathing, and exploring, but he also appreciates a calm home where he can relax and do his own thing. If you’re looking for a cat with charm, attitude, and a big personality, he’s your guy.
