Story
Hi, I'm Dobby — a spunky grey kitten with adorable white socks and a couple of brothers named Deek and Kreacher. If you're a HP fan, you probably noticed we are named after house elves! I am ready to bring adventure and affection into your home. I'm mischievous and loyal, which means I'll keep you entertained while stealing your heart - and maybe your socks - at every turn. I'm the perfect pint-sized companion for cuddles and playtime. Come meet me and my brothers and let's start our adventures together! All pets adopted from the Humane Society of Freeborn County will be spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, testing and will be microchipped. All of this is included in their adoption fee. Fill out an application to adopt at freeborncountyhs.org When transitioning your new pet home please allow for at least 4-6 weeks for your pet to adjust to their new home. They will need this time to decompress, and adjust to a new routine and environment. During that time we will provide check ins and counseling to ensure a successful transition. Please review all basic adoption requirements listed on our website before applying. We take finding the right homes for the animals in our care very seriously. They deserve nothing but the best! Please allow 2-7 days for applications to be processed. If an animal is listed in foster care, these pets are not at our facility, but are in foster care homes. They are still available for adoption, and meet and greets are done with pre-approved applicants only. If you have any questions feel free to send us an email at freeborncohumanesociety@gmail.com, send us a message on Facebook, or call or text 507-377-8501.

Story
Tonya and 11 other kittens were left in a tote on the doorstep of a farm near Glenville. The folks who lived there couldn't take care of them, so they came to the Humane Society and immediately went into foster care because they were not even a month old. Tonya is a pretty orange and white tabby who has always been around cats and her foster mom also has dogs. She hopes to go to a home with other cats, but would also be fine on her own. All pets adopted from the Humane Society of Freeborn County will be spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, testing and will be microchipped.
