Hello! This is Buster and Madi. The are 10 year old brother and sister (yes, they are litter mates). Buster and Madi had a rough start to life. They were skinny, covered with fleas, and very nervous when they were adopted at 6 months old. Since then, they have become friendly and pudgy house cats. Buster and Madi must be rehomed together, as they have never been apart. In the last 10 years, the current owners have added 3 small children and 2 dogs to the family, and the cats are not getting the time or attention that they need. Both cats are declawed in the front only, and both have no health concerns. They must be rehomed as indoor cats only. Buster and Madi are looking for a relaxing, quiet home to retire to.

Felix and his siblings came to us after being found as strays when they were around two months old. We believe Felix was born in August of 2021, and would do well with older children and other animals with proper introduction. Felix is one of 6 in his litter and he is the shy guy of the group. He is very quiet and a bit reserved, but does like to be petted once he knows you. He also enjoys cuddling with his kitty friends and would prefer to have a feline friend in his new home! All pets adopted from the Humane Society of Freeborn County will be spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, testing and will be microchipped. All of this is included in their adoption fee. They will need this time to decompress, and adjust to a new routine and environment. During that time we will provide check ins and counseling to ensure a successful transition. Meet Elliot! Elliot and his siblings came to us after being found as strays. We believe Elliot was born in April of 2023, and would do best in a calmer home with a feline friend to keep him company, and help boost his confidence. Elliot is a gentle fellow, who can be a bit shy with new people at first, but as soon as he sees a friend or sibling getting attention, he moves in for some too! Elliot likes to be petted and will get his quiet purr going in no time! If he isn't snuggled up with a friend or sibling, you will find him in play mode or laying next to wherever you are sitting. He enjoys chasing string toys, stuffed mice, crinkle balls or spring toys! Elliot is a very curious guy that loves to check out new surroundings, and keep an eye on any action that is going on. He can't wait to have a home to call his very own, with a kitty friend or sibling to keep him company! Gibson is a handsome boy, born mid-March 2025, that was found in the parking lot of Trails Truck Stop. He is calm and sweet, but he also loves to play with his new friends in the kitten room here at the shelter. After a hard day of playing, he is content to curl up with a friend for a nap.
