Story
Meet Josie! This sweet gal is a 1-year-old DSH beauty. Josie observes before making a move and is a quieter girl. She is so sweet and loving once she is used to you- she is definitely worth the short wait! She loves pets and attention, climbing up higher for window views, and she loves treats! She gets along with other cats, dogs unknown. She would do better in a home with older children. Josie is scheduled for her spay in February and can be adopted and visited until then!

Story
Meet Whimsey! Whimsey is a 2-3-year-old DSH tabby gal. She was a mama to two beautiful babies and now it is her time to find her forever home! Whimsey came from as a transfer from a nearby shelter and they got her from another shelter. Too many "homes" for this girl! She was found abandoned with her two babies and the first shelter she was at didn't keep cats long so another took her. Then that shelter had some rescuing to do and we offered to take Whimsey and a few others. Throughout it all, she has great spirits and she will "talk" to you about it! She loves to play with toys, catnip is her favorite thing ever, loves treats, need a cuddle partner? She is your gal! She loves to head butt you for more pets! She is all for cuddles and being held, a great companion for any age! Whimsey would do good with smaller kids as long as they don't be mean to her or chase her. She would make a perfect couple/single home pet and great as being the only pet. Whimsey doesn't like other cats at our shelter, dogs are unknown. A meet and greet with another cat or dog would be recommended. She is spayed, microchipped and vaccinated.

Story
Meet Koal! Koal is a 4-year-old DSH male black cat that has been at our shelter since 3/16/22. He was a feral cat who is becoming domestic. He is quiet, loves his wet food in the morning- he is waiting for you! He gets along with other cats and doesn't get worried when another cat jumps into his kennel with him (sometimes walks right across him!). He is curious and loves to explore on his own terms. He needs a patient adopter with more of a quiet home. A home with a rowdy or loud dog/kids would not work for him. With enough patience and time, he will become a lap cat! Koal is now playing with other cats and even toys! What a huge turn around for him! He loves to be pet and will even drool. He doesn't like to be picked up yet. Once he is comfortable with you, he will come up to you for pets and even "hit" you for more! He would do best in a home with no little kids and not a lot of noise. He needs a solid home that he can stay at -no apartments unless it is a long term deal. He will be shy at first and you will need to be patient while he adjusts. But he will warm up and he will warm YOUR heart! In order for Koal to go to a new home, the potential adopter must visit with him until he is comfortable with that person. He has not been out of the shelter in 3 years and does not know what a home is or what the outside is like. He cannot just go from the shelter to a home as he will revert back into hiding. Visits could take days to months- depends on him. He is neutered, microchipped, and vaccinated. .
