Story
Everyone, meet Buddy! Buddy's story is a rather sad one. Buddy came to Five Acres with his sister, Gracie, after their dad passed away. Before they were able to be transported to the shelter, Buddy and Gracie were stuck in their old home alone while family members would stop by to feed. Because of this, Buddy and Gracie have developed a shy nature. Even though they are shy, they are slowly starting to come around to our staff an volunteers. Buddy is the more outgoing of the two, and LOVES to be pet! Once he gets to know you, he purrs nonstop! Given their behavior away from each other, we are considering Buddy and Gracie a boned pair. Meet Petey 🖤🤍 Hi… I’m Petey. I’m a black and white boy with the cutest little face and very careful manners. The shelter is a big, noisy place, and I’m still trying to figure it all out, so I spend a lot of my time hiding and watching from a safe spot. I’m very shy right now — the kind of shy that makes me freeze when people walk by and tuck myself into the coziest corner I can find. But I’m not mean at all… just scared. When someone sits quietly with me and lets me come to them, I start to relax. Soft voices and slow movements help me realize everything is okay. I would do best in a calm, patient home that understands shy cats blossom on their own timeline. I may not show it right away, but I have a lot of love in my tiny, nervous heart. If you’re willing to give me time, I promise I’ll give you all of me. 🐾
