Story
Quinn - Female DOB 4/7/2021 Domestic Short Hair - Calico Quinn is an affectionate cat, but is also an independent and thoughtful cat who may need a little time to adjust.  She ended up in a southern shelter after losing her longtime home when her person passed away. Once she feels secure, she becomes very affectionate and loves attention, especially if it’s paired with gentle brushing. She prefers a peaceful environment and would do best as the only pet in the home. She’s not a fan of dogs or children and would thrive in a quiet home with someone who will give her the time and patience she needs to come out of her shell. Quinn likes to be around people, and prefers to hang out nearby, and not necessarily on your lap.  She loves head rubs and will also allow belly rubs when she's feeling especially lovey.  She loves to have an audience while she eats—she’ll eat more and seem happier when someone’s near, gently petting her and talking softly. A sunny spot by a window and a cozy place to curl up would make all her dreams come true!  Once she feels safe and happy, she loves to roll over and get continuous pets. Quinn is a great companion, but also with her independent side, does not need someone home all day to give her constant attention.  She has been on a low daily dose of Prozac which she takes easily in her food due primarily from stress of being around other cats.  When she is separated from all the other cats, she's much more happy and loving of pets which will keep her much more happy. Story
Rocket - Male DOB 3/28/2025 Domestic Short Hair - Black and White Bandit and Rocket are bonded brothers who are happiest when they’re together and will need to go home as a pair. If they don’t know where the other is, they will cry until they find out!  Rocket, dressed in a classic black-and-white coat, lives up to his name… always zooming, racing through the room, and turning everything into a game. If there’s space to run, Rocket will find it. Rocket is often seen standing up on your legs wanting to be picked up so he can lay on your shoulders. But look out, if you are bent over doing something, Rocket will see his chance to jump up on your back and lay there while you are doing whatever you are doing. He's perfectly content laying there as long as you want him to. Bandit, with his soft gray-and-white coloring, is also a bit true to his name. He’s more reserved, prefers to take things in before jumping right in, and tends to follow Rocket’s lead. When Rocket is around, Bandit relaxes and feels much more at ease, sticking close and joining the fun once he knows everything’s okay.  Bandit likes to talk to you on his way over to greet you and rub on your legs until you bend over and pet him.  As soon as you sit down he will be the first one to jump up on your lap.  Sometimes both of them will jump on your lap together so you have double the lap cats...  Both boys are lap cats, but if Rocket finds your lap first, Bandit will wait patiently for his turn. These boys would do best in a home without dogs, as Bandit is more sensitive, and with older, respectful children. They’d love a home with room to run, play, and burn off Rocket’s energy, while Bandit keeps an eye on things at his own pace. Story
Lucy - Female DOB 8/5/2025 Domestic Short Hair - Dilute Tortoiseshell Gorgeous Lucy is a shy girl, but lately she's been tiptoeing out to explore the main room at the rescue, and it's been really lovely to watch her curiosity start to take over. Lucy is incredibly soft, which almost catches you off guard the first time you pet her, and once she's decided she trusts you, she soaks up every bit of affection you're willing to give. She draws a lot of comfort from having other cats around, and she would need to go home with a feline companion she feels at ease with. If you don't already have a friendly kitty at home, there are several at the rescue that she has bonded with and who would make a wonderful match for her. A calm, quiet home without dogs or children would be the ideal setting for her — somewhere she can continue at her own pace, keep exploring, and maybe one day surprise you by jumping up next to you on the couch like she owns the place.
