Story
Quinn - Female DOB 4/7/2021 Domestic Short Hair - Calico Quinn is an affectionate cat, but is also an independent and thoughtful cat who may need a little time to adjust.  She ended up in a southern shelter after losing her longtime home when her person passed away. Once she feels secure, she becomes very affectionate and loves attention, especially if it’s paired with gentle brushing. She prefers a peaceful environment and would do best as the only pet in the home. She’s not a fan of dogs or children and would thrive in a quiet home with someone who will give her the time and patience she needs to come out of her shell. Quinn likes to be around people, and prefers to hang out nearby, and not necessarily on your lap.  She loves head rubs and will also allow belly rubs when she's feeling especially lovey.  She loves to have an audience while she eats—she’ll eat more and seem happier when someone’s near, gently petting her and talking softly. A sunny spot by a window and a cozy place to curl up would make all her dreams come true!  Once she feels safe and happy, she loves to roll over and get continuous pets. Quinn is a great companion, but also with her independent side, does not need someone home all day to give her constant attention.  She has been on a low daily dose of Prozac which she takes easily in her food due primarily from stress of being around other cats.  When she is separated from all the other cats, she's much more happy and loving of pets which will keep her much more happy. Story
Anna - Female DOB 6/13/2025 Domestic Short Hair - Gray and White Tabby Elsa and Anna are two shy sisters who are as devoted to each other as their Frozen namesakes, and just as deserving of their own happily ever after.  They have made great strides trusting the volunteers and accepting pets and not hiding as much.  Elsa has actually been brave and comes out in our bigger main room to explore and loves it. Each girl has her own distinct personality. Elsa is the braver one and will find her footing more quickly in a new place, while Anna is happiest tucked into a cozy cubby, either solo or curled up with her sister. They have been inseparable since coming into foster care and will need to go home together. They are not high maintenance girls at all. A sunny window to lounge in and a quiet household is really all they are asking for, and they are a wonderful fit for someone who works since they are perfectly happy to hold down the fort while you are gone. What they do need is a patient person who is comfortable letting them settle in gradually, starting small and branching out when they are ready. They are fine around other cats, and they were around a dog in their southern foster, so with a slow introduction would likely do fine with a cat-friendly dog. No children would suit them best — somewhere calm and low key where they can take their time and eventually come out of their shells on their own terms. Story
Johnny - Male DOB 2/23/2024 Domestic Short Hair - Black Meet Johnny, a handsome black panther with a heart as big as his personality. This sweet gentleman has been through more than his fair share of vet visits and is hoping those days are finally behind him.  For the past several months, Johnny has been treated for skin allergies and dermatitis, trying different medications to find what worked best. Thankfully, we've found a treatment that has his skin looking and feeling so much better. He may need to remain on this medication long-term, but it's a small commitment for the unconditional love, companionship, and joy he'll bring to his forever family. Johnny is an easygoing guy who doesn't ask for much. A sunny window where he can watch the world go by, a young feline friend to play and cuddle with, and a high-quality diet to help keep his skin healthy are all he really needs to be happy. He loves batting around toys, chasing feather wands, and enjoying the occasional gentle wrestling match with another playful kitty—nothing too rowdy, just good fun. One of Johnny's favorite parts of the day is greeting his people. He'll happily meet you at the door with sweet meows, making sure you know just how much he missed you while you were away. He's an affectionate companion who enjoys being part of your daily routine and would thrive in a quiet home where someone is around much of the time. Johnny is looking for a calm, stress-free environment with another friendly, playful cat. Because he prefers a peaceful lifestyle, a home without dogs or young children would be the best fit for him. If you're looking for a loyal companion who will greet you every day with happy meows, fill your home with love, and be your faithful sidekick, Johnny is ready to meet you.
