Story
Guppy is a tough guy with a soft side... and lots of extra toes! Guppy is a fairly independent 3 year old male, a tomcat stray learning to live a quieter life inside now that he's made his way to the shelter. Guppy came to us with wounds on his ears, likely from scratching himself excessively due to a severe ear mite infection which has since been taken care of. He is quite sweet and gentle but does have a spunkier side. He will occasionally swat or even nibble at hands if they move quickly near him or attempt to take something from him. He is not particularly adventurous, preferring to lounge in his space even when free roam is offered to him. Guppy would love to go home with someone interested in taming the little bit left of his wild side and getting a loyal and loving young boy in return.

Story
Maizey is a quiet and reserved kitten, though not without a playful side. She was quite sick and skinny when brought to us, and we weren't sure if she would even take to eating solid foods at her age. Luckily she was ready to make it on her own and quickly started to bounce back. After a couple weeks of medication and much needed rest, Maizey is happy and healthy and one of the most gentle and reserved kittens you'll ever meet. Despite her quiet demeanor, she also has gotten back a healthy dose of the kitten energy she should have at her age and sometimes gets a burst of energy to chase toys around and hop up onto high places to jump off of. She is still slightly skittish and not always immediately receptive to pets, but never shies completely away or gets upset. She may develop a more bold personality as she grows or she may always be her quiet and gentle self. If that sounds like just the right forever friend for you, Maizey would love to meet you!

Story
Chili is one of a larger litter of four 'spicy' kittens who came to us at the shelter as "semi-ferals", kittens who were not reared by humans and thus not very trusting, but still young enough to have not developed completely wild instincts just yet. Though it's taken some time to ease them into the idea of human affection, they are finally starting to come around, and while Chili in particular needs some extra TLC, he is ready to meet strangers and learn that we're here to help and care for him, not harm. Chili may shy away from pets and attention, but he is not aggressive and will accept gentle pets. The more positive contact he has with people, the more he'll understand he is safe with us and his eventual forever companion. Come visit Chili today, whether to adopt or just to spend some time teaching him how to trust.
