Peachy Keen is currently relaxing with one of our amazing foster friends because she found the shelter environment to be too much for her. After taking some time to get her bearings and settle in, Peachy Keen began to share gentle affection with her new friend. This is a cat that would be your lap cat and napping, reading, and tv watching partner. Peachy likes giving hugs (so cute!), savoring some catnip, delicious meals, and soft toys. While Peachy Keen is a deeply affectionate cat, she does not enjoy being picked up, preferring to keep all four on the floor for her cuddles. In her foster home she has had perfect litter box manners, and faithfully uses two different scratching posts. Zena may not be the Warrior Princess that we all grew up watching, but she’s still a sweetheart of a queen! She’ll take a few moments to get comfortable with you, but after that, you’re in the Adoration Zone, and if you’re looking for a conversational kitty, Zena’s your gal. She’s also a big fan of watching the world through the windows (while lounging on a plush pillow or three, of course). She’s looking for a very relaxed and casual environment to call home, though more specifically without any canine companions, sorry – they’re just too much for her demure temperament. She may find herself at ease with other similarly easygoing felines, though we’ll be more than happy to offer some suggestions for a slow-paced introduction into her new home when you come in to say hello! Ahkari found a local farm to make her introductions, but decided that indoor life was far more to her liking, and who can blame her? Delicious food on demand, clean water, a litterbox valet – roughing it outdoors can’t even begin to hold a torch to these delights! At two years of age, Ahkari’s still taking her time to get settled into the world around her, so if your home is a cultivated space of peace and composure, then Ahkari will likely settle down in no time at all!She’s a big fan of hidey spaces with her safety blanket (kind of like Linus), and would prefer back pets over being picked up. If you’re willing to give her a few moments to get to know you, she’ll emerge from the safety of her blanket cave for some adoration, so she’d likely do best in a home with older kids who can be considerate to her slower pace, and similarly laidback animals.
