Alyla is a beautiful friendly tabby kitty who is about 5 months old. She came from a Breeder in Elmira, NY a family of 5 kittens and she was the runt of the litter. She loves to play but when she’s sick all she does is sleep and has no energy! I don’t want her to suffer anymore she needs a lot of care and attention than I can offer for her and I do a lot.

Kenzie is a 6 year old orange tabby with a huge personality and an even bigger heart. He was found as a kitten in a well on a farm, and I got him from a friend shortly after, and I have had him ever since. He is incredibly funny and very vocal, he will meow nonstop until breakfast is served. When I get home from work he is always at the door to greet me. While he was very playful when he was younger, now he spends most of his time sleeping or cuddling. He loves pets and neck scratches but can get overstimulated; he does not like belly rubs and can be sensitive about his tail. He loves catnip, especially the spray kind for toys. Unfortunately I must rehome him due to moving on campus for college. He needs a quiet home with no kids and no other animals; he can tolerate female cats but does not do well with male cats. He is bonded to my other cat, Luna (5 1/2 years old), who is very shy, and they must be adopted together. Every introvert needs their extrovert!

With her baby-doll face, you’d be mistaken to think Rue is a quiet little lady. Sure Rue is sweet, but she has a lot of spice as well. The first to engage in any kitten games, this lovely girl has a special outlook on life. Rue is ready to start the next phase of her life. She needs to be adopted with her BFF and brother, Jazz Man.

Luna is a very sweet indoor 4 year old girl who will guard the house and watch to make sure everything is in order. She loves to herd and sit on shoulders. She enjoys following with routines such as bed time and insists on being by your side for them. She is sometimes a talker with a very light meow. She is a good mouser and climber. Luna is gentle to kids. When she bonds with you she is okay to be picked up and held. She has never scratched or bitten myself or my daughter. She is playful and explorative. She is a healthy and energetic girl.

Smokey is a spunky 2 year old girl with a big personality. She loves attention, but can sometimes become frustrated if behind a closed door or barrier. She prefers to be able to see all of her surroundings and come to people for pets instead of the other way around. Smokey seems to prefer women over men, though she has been warming up to all kinds of people here at the shelter. Smokey may need some extra time to settle from over-stimulation when first acclimating to a new home, but has so much love to give the lucky person who forms a bond with her. Kevin is a reserved and calm 6 year old black and white girl (yep, girl) who came to us with her sister Kevi when their owner could no longer care for them. She is often at her happiest finding a warm safe place to hide away and nap the day away. While she prefers her solitude, she is tolerant of other cats and is familiar with living in a household with others. She is a very affectionate girl once you get to know her and bring her out of her shell.

Jadis is a 5 year old black and white girl with a big personality. Her favorite past-time here at the shelter has been laying around upside down and lounging about most of the day. She is affectionate and greatly appreciates head pats, chin rubs, and cheek scratches, but can be a bit testy about being picked up and held. her left ear is a bit crinkled, we believe from an old abscess that has since healed and is no longer in need of medical attention.
