Story
Mae is a gentle, loving cat—1 year and 9 months old—originally adopted from SPCA Raleigh. She’s very shy at first and may need a few days to feel comfortable in a new home, but once she settles, she becomes a true sweetheart. Mae is quiet, calm, and doesn’t make noise or jump around. We are heartbroken to rehome her, but we recently discovered that my husband is allergic to cats. We hope she finds a patient, loving family who will give her the comfort and safety she deserves.

I’m one of the Christmas Cookie kittens—some say pizzelles are the original cookie and I’m certainly original! I’m full of personality and love both cuddles and playtime. Head rubs? Yes, please! Snuggles? Absolutely! I’m super curious and always want to know what you’re up to. I’m great with kids, okay with dogs, and I’m learning to feel comfortable around other cats in my foster home. My favorite game is chasing my sisters, and I’d love a forever home with a feline friend. Being adopted with one of my sisters would be wonderful! If you’re looking for a sweet, affectionate kitten with lots of pizzazz who will keep you entertained and loved, I’m your girl! Est. DOB: Sept. 10, 2025 Fully vetted: treated for fleas, ear mites, and intestinal parasites, tested for FeLV/FIV (negative unless otherwise noted), spayed/neutered, up to date on all vaccinations (including FVRCP+FeLV [initial vaccination and booster] and rabies), and microchipped with shelter paid registration.

I’m a bold, curious adventurer with a big personality! I love exploring every corner, chasing lasers, watching TV, and might even sometimes try to “help” you with your chores. I love fun—wrestling with siblings, hoarding toy mice, and zooming around. Sometimes I get carried away and may swat or nip gently, but never hard. I can be shy at first, but once I warm up, I’m all yours! When playtime’s over, I’m a big cuddle bug with a loud, happy purr. I do well playing on my own, but I’d do best with a young, playful friend for company. A home with dogs or older kids would be OK too!
