Story
Strudel is a beautiful 1-1/2 year old female Tortoiseshell kitty who was brought to the HSOV on March 12, 2025 after she was found on Wooster Street in Marietta Ohio with her six tiny 2-week old kittens (along with Strudel's sister Banbaleena and her four tiny 2-week old babies. These sweet Tortoiseshell sisters raised their kittens in small shelter cages with some assistance from our amazing HSOV Kennel Techs. Strudel has a black/orange/beige short smooth coat with a band of orange around her mid-section, a rather long body, a long tail, and a lovely orange face with a black stripe on her nose/forehead, golden eyes, and long black whiskers. Strudel was given vaccinations, wormer, and flea treatment on March 13, 2025. She weighed 9 lbs that day. Strudel was given booster vaccines on March 27, 2025. Strudel was a wonderful loving mother to her babies and raised them to be happy, playful youngsters. Strudel's six kittens (Eggs, Gravy, Hashbrown, Jelly, Sausage, and Toast) will be spayed/neutered (tentatively in June 2025) and will be ready to find loving homes of their very own. Strudel's kittens will posted on Petfinder/Adoptapet/Facebook in the near future. Strudel (and Banbaleena) were separated from their kittens after they were fully weaned, and the sisters were reunited with each other. They are currently enjoying a triple-wide cage in our Jungle Room. Sturdel has an affectionate disposition and a playful, outgoing personality. Strudel was spayed on May 12, 2025 and was also given rabies vaccine. She weighed 8.7 lbs that day. These updated photos of Strudel were taken on May 16, 2025. Thanks to HSOV Kennel Techs Lauryn Hamilton and Emma Dahlgren for carrying Strudel and Banbaleena into our 'studio' for their glamour photos and to enjoy some out-of-cage time. Strudel and Banbaleena are very bonded with each other and are being listed as a bonded pair since we feel that it is in their best interest to be adopted together. They are looking for a fabulous home either through adoption or rescue. Rescue groups may contact our HSOV Feline Rescue Coordinator via email (sharonpaul2@suddenlink.net). We can usually help with transportation.

Story
Banban is a cute male kitten who was brought to the HSOV on March 12, 2025 along with his brother (Nabnab), his sisters (Opila & Truffletoot), and his beautiful mother (Banbaleena) after they were found in Marietta Ohio. Banban and his siblings were tiny 2-week old babies at that time, and their mother raised them to be happy, healthy youngsters in our shelter (with a little help from our compassionate HSOV Kennel Techs). Banban has a sleek black short smooth coat, a long tail, and a precious (rather mischievous-looking) face with golden eyes, a black velvet nose, and long black whiskers. Banban and his brother Nabnab are nearly identical twins except that Nabnab has a small patch of white on his chest. Banban was given vaccinations and wormer on May 9, 2025. He weighed 2 lbs that day. Banban was given booster vaccine on May 20th and weighed 3.5 lbs. Banban & Nabnab are currently sharing a double-wide cage in our Jungle Room. These little guys are the ultimate playboys and spend their days playing non-stop before snuggling up for a kitten nap. Banban was neutered on May 12, 2025 and was given rabies vaccine. He weighed 2.8 lbs that day. These photos were taken on May 22, 2025 when HSOV Volunteer Wendy Irvin assisted Banban with his 'big boy' pictures, and he was a willing participant as he scampered around our 'studio' showing us his adorable stances. Banban and his brother Nabnab are being listed as a bonded pair since we feel that it is in their best interest to remain together ... (and remember that kittens do much better in pairs). These little sweethearts are ready to find a fabulous home either through adoption or rescue. Rescue groups may contact our HSOV Feline Rescue Coordinator via email (sharonpaul2@suddenlink.net). We can usually help with transportation.

Story
**BONDED PAIR** .. Cherry and Marcia are a beautiful pair of kitten sisters who were brought to the HSOV on March 16, 2025 along with their three brothers (Johnny, Ponyboy, and Sodapop). These youngsters were 6-7 months old when they were found in Marietta Ohio fending for themselves. Cherry has a brown tabby short smooth coat with beige/orange highlights in a Torbie pattern, a long ringed tail, and a cute chubby face. She has a subtle patch of beige/orange at the base of her left ear. Marcia has a brown tabby short smooth coat, a long ringed tail, and a lovely triangular-shaped face. They are nearly identical twins and both have friendly dispositions .. Cherry is a bit more reserved while Marcia is the more outgoing ‘social butterfly’. They complement each other and will be tremendous addition for some lucky individual/family. These young ladies are good with other cats and also with children. We don't know how they feel about canine friends. Cherry & Marcia been given vaccinations, wormer, and flea treatment in addition to booster vaccines. They were spayed on April 22nd 2025 and were also given rabies vaccine. Cherry weighed 5 lbs that day while Marcia weighed 6 lbs. The girls are currently at We Lov Pets in the Lafayette Plaza, Marietta Ohio (long-time BIG TIME supporters of our shelter) where they are available for adoption through the Humane Society of the Ohio Valley, and they are ready to find a fabulous home. Cherry & Marcia could go home with their new family immediately with an approved HSOV adoption application. Note: Their three brothers have already found fantastic homes.
