Story
Hansel is a handsome 1-year-old boy who recently joined our friends on the Cat Walk and is hoping to find his special human to take him home! While this boy does start out quite shy, he is full of love once he feels comfortable! He loves soft pets, and to rub his head against you as you pet him. And when he is REALLY enjoying the affection may reveal his belly to you, give you a little kitty kiss, and may even drool! In addition to being the sweetest little companion, Hansel is also quite curious and doesn't miss a thing that happens around him! Because of his shy nature, he may prefer a calmer home, and while he has previously lived with another kitty, it seems he would really prefer not to do so again. If you are looking for a new best friend and think Hansel may be the purrfect match for you, we encourage you to complete our adoption enrollment todayIf you have any questions about Hansel or adopting from FCAR in general, please feel free to reach out to us at info@fcarpets.org."We're so excited you're interested in adopting a new furry friend! To help us find the perfect match for you and our animals, we're pre-approving applicants. Here's how it works:Please start by filling out our adoption application: https://service.sheltermanager.com/asmservice?account=rz1556&method=online_form_html&formid=6This helps us learn more about you, including which animal you're interested in, your family, any other pets you have, your living situation (owning or renting), and your veterinarian. We understand that if you don't currently have pets, you won't have a vet reference. In that case, we kindly ask for a personal reference instead. Why we ask these questions:We want to make sure we find the best possible fit for both you and the animal. For renters, we need to confirm with your landlord that pets are allowed, as unfortunately, many landlords in Franklin County have restrictions.Checking with your veterinarian helps us ensure that our animals receive the ongoing medical care they deserve. What happens next:Once we receive positive references from your landlord (if applicable) and veterinarian (or personal reference), we'll contact you to schedule an appointment if you're interested in adopting a dog.If you're looking for a feline friend, you're welcome to come in anytime during our open hours!Important information:Adoptions are on a first-come, first-served basis, based on the date your application is approved. We're truly grateful for the overwhelming interest in our animals! Our staff is working diligently to approve applications as quickly as possible. While it may take a few days, most applications are approved sooner.Thank you for your patience and understanding as we work to find loving homes for our wonderful animals!"
