Story
Violet is a beautiful girl of 3 years, 7 months, who recently returned to us (through no fault of their own) with her pal Kopa, to whom she is bonded.Violet is a friendly girl who enjoys pets and human affection- and of course spending time with her best buddy Kopa! If these two sound like the "purrfect" match for you, apply today! Feel free to reach out with any questions to info@fcarpets.org"We're so excited you're interested in adopting a new furry friend! To help us find the perfect match for you and our animals, we're pre-approving applicants. Here's how it works:Please start by filling out our adoption application: https://service.sheltermanager.com/asmservice?account=rz1556&method=online_form_html&formid=6This helps us learn more about you, including which animal you're interested in, your family, any other pets you have, your living situation (owning or renting), and your veterinarian. We understand that if you don't currently have pets, you won't have a vet reference. In that case, we kindly ask for a personal reference instead. Why we ask these questions:We want to make sure we find the best possible fit for both you and the animal. For renters, we need to confirm with your landlord that pets are allowed, as unfortunately, many landlords in Franklin County have restrictions.Checking with your veterinarian helps us ensure that our animals receive the ongoing medical care they deserve. What happens next:Once we receive positive references from your landlord (if applicable) and veterinarian (or personal reference), we'll contact you to schedule an appointment if you're interested in adopting a dog.If you're looking for a feline friend, you're welcome to come in anytime during our open hours!Important information:Adoptions are on a first-come, first-served basis, based on the date your application is approved. We're truly grateful for the overwhelming interest in our animals! Our staff is working diligently to approve applications as quickly as possible. While it may take a few days, most applications are approved sooner.Thank you for your patience and understanding as we work to find loving homes for our wonderful animals!"

Story
Say hello to Mufassa. This handsome boy is a newer friend who is still adjusting to being here with us at FCAR. He is a 8 year, 9 month old male who prior to joining us in late January had spent his whole life with a single owner, so he's really just a little unsure of what's happening.Though Mufassa seems shy and a bit overwhelmed, he quickly shows that he is such a sweet, gentle boy who loves head and neck pets/ scratches and soft words of encouragement. This boy would love to find his new special human to curl up on the couch with and live his best kitty life! He may prefer a calmer home environment with the love and patience to let him adapt and gain confidence in his new surroundings. If you have any questions about Mufassa or adopting from FCAR in general, feel free to reach out to us at info@fcarpets.org"We're so excited you're interested in adopting a new furry friend!
