Story
At 16 years young, Sapphire is a true gem looking for a peaceful place to spend her golden years. This sweet senior found herself in our care through no fault of her own, and while she arrived with a companion, she has made it very clear that she prefers the `solo life.` Sapphire is ready to be the only cat in her forever home, where she can soak up all the love and attention for herself. Don`t let her age fool you—Sapphire still has plenty of pep in her step! She is one of the friendliest cats we’ve ever met and spends her days roaming about, looking for a friendly hand to offer some pets. When she isn`t busy socializing, you can almost always find her stationed by a window, happily `bird watching` or napping in a warm patch of sunlight. Sapphire does have early-stage kidney disease, which means she requires a specialized prescription kidney diet for the rest of her life to keep her feeling her best. She also recently had an extensive dental here at the shelter which means she needs soft food only for life. She is sparkling and ready for chin rubs! We believe her health needs are a small trade-off for the immense amount of love and companionship she provides.Sapphire is fully prepared for her new chapter: she is spayed, microchipped, and up to date on all core vaccinations (Feline Distemper and Rabies). She has also been dewormed and is current on her flea preventative. If you have a sunny window and a heart for seniors, Sapphire is waiting to meet you! Story
Sass: A Quiet Soul Ready to BloomSass is a 5-year-old brown and black tabby looking for a very special kind of hero. Found tucked away in a garage, Sass didn`t come to us with `cattitude`—she arrived completely shut down. For a long time, she protected herself by staying small and silent, but the `quiet magic` we hoped for is finally happening. We are thrilled to share that Sass is bravely coming out of her shell! This sweet girl has started purring and making biscuits, showing us just how much love she has tucked away. Every soft blink and relaxed stretch is a massive victory and seeing her find her confidence is incredibly rewarding. To continue this wonderful progress, Sass needs a calm, low-activity home where she can feel truly secure. Sass has previously lived with other cats and a small dog, so she may enjoy the company of a gentle resident pet.Because the world can still feel a bit overwhelming, she is looking for an adult-only home or one with older, calm children. There is a profound joy in being the person who shows a once-hidden cat that the world is a safe and loving place. If you have the patience to move at her pace, Sass is ready to start her new life with you.Sass is spayed, has received core vaccinations (Feline Distemper, Rabies), flea preventative, has been dewormed, and is microchipped. If you have any questions about Sass or our adoption process, feel free to reach out to adoption staff at 920-733-1717 or adopt@foxvalleypets.org.

Story
Pokey is a handsome, 1.5-year-old fellow who is officially ready to trade the stray life for a cozy indoor kingdom! He is a vibrant bundle of joy who loves to bat at toys and keep you entertained with his playful personality.Since arriving at the shelter, Pokey has shown us that he is a sensitive soul who truly knows his own mind. He genuinely enjoys gentle head scratches and attention, but he can become overstimulated when things get too much. He is looking for a savvy adopter who reads `cat` fluently, respects his boundaries, and understands that sometimes, less is more.Pokey has a couple of unique needs that his future family should know about:•FIV Positive: Pokey tested positive for FIV (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus). Because of this, he must live in an indoor-only home where he is either the only cat or lives with other FIV-positive felines.•Medical Care: He has been dealing with a recurring URI (upper respiratory infection) and conjunctivitis. He is currently on another routine course of medication for it, which our team can chat with you about!Because he came to us as a stray, his history with kids or other animals is unknown. If you have a patient heart and a feather wand ready, Pokey is eager to become your loyal companion!Pokey is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on his core vaccinations (Feline Distemper and Rabies). He has also been dewormed and is current on his flea prevention. If you have any questions about Pokey or our adoption process, feel free to reach out at (920)-733-1717 or adopt@foxvalleypets.org.
