Story
Meet Eggnog, a 2-year-old female cat! She came to us as a stray.Eggnog is a gentle and somewhat shy girl who is learning to feel more confident each day. She may take a little time to settle in, but she’s making progress day by day as she builds trust and opens up to the world around her. With patience and a calm environment, Eggnog continues to show more of her sweet personality. As she grows more comfortable, Eggnog enjoys playing with toys, exploring her surroundings, and curling up near her people for cozy moments. She likes to balance quiet companionship with playful curiosity, making her a lovely fit for a home that appreciates a softer, more thoughtful cat.Eggnog would do best with an adopter who understands that confidence comes with time and is happy to let her set the pace. In the right home, she will continue to blossom into a loving companion who enjoys both adventure and comfort.Eggnog was treated for an upper respiratory infection (URI) while in our care. She does have some lingering nasal congestion, which may resolve once she settles into her new home, though it’s also possible she may have chronic rhinitis.A skin scrape showed the presence of Demodex mites. These mites can be contagious to other cats but are not contagious to humans or dogs. Eggnog has received a long-acting topical treatment for the mites and is scheduled for a recheck toward the end of January. Until her recheck confirms she is clear, she will need to be kept separate from other cats. We’re unsure of her experience with cats, dogs, or children. Our team is happy to guide slow introductions to resident pets or younger family members.Eggnog is spayed and has received core vaccinations (feline distemper, rabies), flea preventative, has been dewormed, and is microchipped. If you have any questions about Eggnog, feel free to reach out at (920) 733-1717 or adopt@foxvalleypets.org, make an appointment to meet her online, or stop by during our open hours to take a look around!

Meet Cricket, a 3.5 y.o. female kitty! Cricket came to FVHA as a surrender.Cricket is a beautiful, sensitive girl with a shy personality and a heart that’s still learning how to trust. Cricket needs a patient, understanding home that can give her the support, consistency, and love she deserves while she discovers that the world isn’t so scary after all.Once Cricket begins to open up, her sweet quirks start to shine. She loves watching the world go by from a cozy window perch and has a surprising playful side, especially when water is involved! Whether it’s dipping her paws in a water dish or investigating a dripping faucet, little moments like these show just how special she is beneath the fear.Cricket would thrive best with someone who can move at her pace, celebrate her small victories, and help her build confidence over time. Marguerite: A Sweet, Quiet Soul Ready for Her Forever HomeFrom wallflower to social butterfly! Marguerite is thriving in foster care and has officially found her confidence. They’ve traded her shy shell for an outgoing, `purr-first` personality and can’t wait to show off her affectionate side to a forever family.Meet Marguerite, a beautiful and petite 2-year-old brown tabby. Marguerite came to us as a stray, and while she is a lovely cat, she finds the busy shelter environment quite overwhelming. She is currently feeling very shy and `shut down,` needing a calm hand to help her feel secure.Beneath her nervous exterior, Marguerite is showing wonderful signs that she is ready to trust. If you approach her slowly and gently, she truly enjoys ear scratches and soft head pets. She has a deep desire for affection; she just needs to feel safe enough to let her guard down.Marguerite is looking for a quiet, low-stress home where she can start out in a small room to decompress. She needs an experienced and patient adopter who understands that building a bond takes time and consistency. With a peaceful space and a steady routine, Marguerite will slowly realize she is safe and become the loving companion she was meant to be.We are unsure how Marguerite does with children or other animals, but we always recommend a slow introduction and our adoption staff is happy to go over integrating a new cat into your home. Marguerite is spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, and was given a flea/tick preventative. If you’re ready to be the nurturing gardener Marguerite needs to bloom, please reach out to us at 920-733-1717, adopt@foxvalleypets.org, or swing by during our open hours!
