Story
Skylar is a young adult, spayed, up to date on all vaccinations. She was adopted out as a kitten to an active family. They lived in a home with carpeting, that had been owned by someone that had a cat. Apparently that cat had peed on carpeting. When Skylar developed a bladder infection, and it hurt to pee, she associated the pain to the litterbox. So she started to pee on the carpet where the previous cat had peed. Why not. Smells just like a litterbox. The owner was not willing to replace the carpeting, so instead surrendered Skylar back to us. Please give her a chance in your home. She really is a lovely cat. She would do best in a quiet home, with no cats and not dogs, and no active young children.

Story
Helllllooooo my adoring people! My foster mama brought me to the vet gain even though she said we were going shopping for my Churu treats. Mama keeps saying that I'm adoptable and special. I agree with the special part! I'm the most special cat ever!! Mama and Daddy say I take my medicine like a big girl but I all I know is that they give me yummy treats a couple times a day. Those are my favorite!! Mama says I have something called structural epilepsy whatever that is. You see when I was rescued I was really sick and kept having the shakes which I couldn't control. Mama took me to a lot of doctors and they poke and prodded me and kept saying what a cutie I was. They figured out what was wrong and said that I have to be on medication the rest of my life. That's okay because they made the shakies stop so I've been enjoying my special treats every day. I run and play with everyone else. I know that mama says some day I will find a very special family that really loves me and they'll take me home fur-ever. I really hope that they have a dog that I get to cuddle and play with!

Story
I adopted Hazel when she was almost 3 years old. She loves to cuddle up by you or get a good scratch from you. Hazel does really well with other pets and will come up to any guest you have. Right now she is 8 years old, about 12lbs and also lives with Mocha a calico 7 year old. I would love to rehome them together, but they are posted separately. We have lost a couple family members in the last year so we need to downsize, and I want both girls to find a home they can feel comfortable in. I'm not really looking to an adoption fee, but rather a good family/adopter I know will love her.

Story
Patches doesn't understand how she keeps ending up back here at the shelter... Patches was adopted and then returned when she needed extra care. Patches is now on a kidney diet and doing great. She's ready for a family of her own to spend her golden years with. Patches is super sweet, loving, and waiting for her person to come adopt her. She loves lounging in her bed and getting head pats. She even gives kisses! However she would prefer to be the only cat in her forever home. Fill out an application to meet this beautiful lady. Story
Baxter is an energetic kitten who LOVES playing with the other kittens. He gets along with everyone and is a friendly happy boy. He is (im)patiently waiting for his people to come adopt him. Baxter's hobbies include purring anytime someone pets him and doing chaotic Zoomies in his kennel. He is really looking forward to having a big home to run his Zoomies in.Baxter is currently battling some skin issues, he is only available as a foster to adopt at this time. He will be fully adoptable after his skin issues have resolved (this is not contagious to other cats). Coco is an independent lady who loves a good view. You can usually catch her sunbathing and getting in a good nap. Coco does not do well with other cats and would like to be the only ray of sunshine in her window seat. Coco has done well with respectful and calm dogs. Story
Squash Pie was found as a stray in Neenah and unfortunately was not claimed. Squash Pie a beautiful orange and white boy. He does not like other cats, so much so that when he was in the cat adoption room he had a reputation for being quite grumpy. The decision was made here at the shelter to move Squash Pie into the office and he is a new man! Squash Pie love seeing the bird feeder out his window, people, being pet and you can even pick me up. He still gets upset when he has a dog sharing his space so he would do best as an only pet. We are looking for a forever home with a sunny window and a person devoted to just Squash Pie. He may get over stimulated but does give warnings when he needs his space so we would advise no small children in the home. Squash pie is currently located at Petco on N Casaloma DrivePlease note:- Our website (www.neenahanimalshelter.org) is updated in real time, so we are accepting applications for all animals that are currently listed.-Applications can be downloaded from our website. Story
Gorou tends to lean more on the timid side, however has shown that with time and patience from those who regularly work with him, enjoys pets and being held for short time periods. He has been sharing a kennel with a cat a few months older who is more on the social side and it has been doing well with building Gorou's Confidence. We believe he would do best in a calmer home where he can continue to learn to trust people and open up as well as have a more confident, friendly and sociable cat as a companion to help him continue gaining that much needed confidence. Please note:- Our website (www.neenahanimalshelter.org) is updated in real time, so we are accepting applications for all animals that are currently listed.-Applications can be downloaded from our website. (http://neenahanimalshelter.org/how-to-adopt.html)- Our shelter no longer has open visiting hours, so a pre-approved application and scheduled appointment is needed prior to meeting any of our animals.**Kittens are required to be adopted in pairs, unless there already is a cat in the home. If the cat in the home is 10 years or older, this two-kitten policy will apply.
