Story
Embers is a beautiful, silky male cat about 7 years old. We rehabilitated him after adoption since he had incurred trauma that caused him to be anxious, high alert and hidden. He still fears going in a cage, quick movements near him and being grabbed. He has become social in his own way and benefits from a calm environment where he has the freedom to come to you. He purrs easily and loves to be pet, as long as it's in a safe place for him- in a cat bed or when he comes into our laps. He is doing well but not thriving as he still struggles with anxiety due to our large breed dog. And now adding another family member in our small house... Embers currently lives with other cats but ideal situation would be a quiet home where he can feel safe and bond as a companion pet. He truly is a hidden treasure. Very healthy, eats kibble and water. Trained on pine pellet litter but could likely use any kind. No bathroom issues or destructive habits. Will need love and care to transition well.
