Story
Well hello there! My name is Gertrude, but my foster family calls me Gertie. I guess you can too. I am 2 years old, but let me tell you, I`ve lived a lot in those 2 years. Someone brought me and my 6(!) kittens into the shelter where I went to a foster home with them. I was very protective of them (what mom isn`t, let`s be honest) so when they were old enough, I went to a new foster home where I was able to recover from being a mom and relax a little bit. The best thing is that at this home I was able to have my own blankies, my own toys and no tiny kittens using me as a jungle gym. It`s really been great and my foster mom is awesome. That said, I think it`s time I strike out on my own and find my forever humans. Some things about me:1. I really like food. I`m a tiny little thing (my foster mom says I`m a little `bony` whatever that means) and being from the streets, sometimes I didn`t know where my next meal would come from, so I`m not picky at all. 2. I`m ok with other cats, given we have had the proper time to become acquainted with each other. I met my foster family`s doggos and I`m really unsure about them. To be fair, their dogs are big and wanted to be my bff immediately and I don`t care for that. If you have a dog, I would prefer they be chill and let me come to them. After all, I`ll be running the house, so they should know who`s boss. ;) 3. I`m a chatterbox. I talk a lot and like being around my people. 4. I`m still pretty young and have a lot of play left in me.5. I am an independent lady, so please treat me like one. No picking me up willy nilly, let me sniff you when we meet, all that good jazz. 6. I`m really smart. I don`t want to toot my own horn here, but I learned my foster family`s routine really quickly. I bet if my forever home wanted to train me, I might let them. Well I guess I`ve rambled on enough about myself. Like I said, I`m a chatterbox, so I`d better let you go and think about if you and I could be a good fit.
