🐾 Hey there, I’m Thor! 🐾I may have a big, strong name, but I’m really just a sensitive guy trying to figure out the world around me. Recently, I was adopted but sadly returned because I was very scared in my new home—so scared that I wasn’t even comfortable going outside to use the bathroom. It was all just a little too much, too fast for me.Because of my upbringing, I didn’t get the early socialization I really needed, so new places, sounds, and experiences can feel overwhelming. I’ll need a patient and understanding home that’s willing to go slow and let me adjust at my own pace. I’m not a “jump right in” kind of dog—but with time, consistency, and gentle encouragement, I truly want to do right by my person.At around 7 months old, I’m still very much a puppy and ready to learn. I’ll need help with house training, leash skills, and basic commands, along with lots of confidence-building through positive experiences. Training with me should always be rooted in patience, kindness, and rewards—I respond best to people who take the time to understand me.Despite my fears, I am a gentle, sweet boy with a big heart. Once I feel safe, my loving and affectionate side really starts to shine. I just need someone who’s willing to work through the little speed bumps with me and help me grow into the confident dog I’m meant to be.If you’re someone who believes in going slow, celebrating small wins, and building trust step by step—I just might be your guy. 💛Requirements: Martingale CollarAll of our dogs and cats are spayed/neutered, up to date with age appropriate vaccinations, heart worm or feleuk/FIV tested, fecal tested, rabies and tag, and microchipped before being placed in your home. Astro is a large, powerful mix breed dog that is looking for an owner who is a strong handler that has prior dog owning experience and is excited to work on training and exercising a strong, active dog. He is housebroken, crate trained and very, very well behaved in the home. He has had extensive training support and will come will free ongoing training to help his new owner learn how to maintain his training so he can thrive. His biggest struggle is he is strong when walking on a leash and can be reactive towards other dogs when out on walks - but he is a perfect gentleman inside the house and would thrive with a yard and a strong, active owner. He is neutered and current on his vaccines. LONG TIMER, Adoption fee REDUCED $50, includes:Dog neutered and current on vaccinations.30 days of free pet insurance through MetLifeA free "clean start" bath, ear cleaning, teeth brushing and nail trim at ScenthoundFree training support for the life of the pet, including group classes.
