Asher has come such a long way, and we are incredibly proud of the progress he’s made. Our management team and dedicated staff have worked closely with him, helping him build confidence and show just how wonderful he truly is. With their support, he’s blossomed into a happy, affectionate, and playful boy. Asher loves getting outside to enjoy the fresh air, whether he’s exploring his surroundings or heading out for a nice walk. He’s also a big fan of belly rubs and soaking up quality time with staff and volunteers — attention is definitely one of his favorite things! He enjoys showing off the basic commands he’s learned, especially when yummy treats are involved. This smart young pup is also working toward being fully housebroken and continues to make steady progress with routine and consistency. Asher is one of five littermates, and they have already found their forever homes. He is still patiently waiting for his turn. Because of his playful energy, he would likely do best in a home with children 10 years or older. A high, secured, fenced‑in yard would be ideal for him to safely run and play, or he’d thrive with a family or individual who enjoys long walks and staying active. 🐾 Hey there, I’m Thor! 🐾I may have a big, strong name, but I’m really just a sensitive guy trying to figure out the world around me. Recently, I was adopted but sadly returned because I was very scared in my new home—so scared that I wasn’t even comfortable going outside to use the bathroom. It was all just a little too much, too fast for me.Because of my upbringing, I didn’t get the early socialization I really needed, so new places, sounds, and experiences can feel overwhelming. I’ll need a patient and understanding home that’s willing to go slow and let me adjust at my own pace. I’m not a “jump right in” kind of dog—but with time, consistency, and gentle encouragement, I truly want to do right by my person.At around 7 months old, I’m still very much a puppy and ready to learn. I’ll need help with house training, leash skills, and basic commands, along with lots of confidence-building through positive experiences. Training with me should always be rooted in patience, kindness, and rewards—I respond best to people who take the time to understand me.Despite my fears, I am a gentle, sweet boy with a big heart. Once I feel safe, my loving and affectionate side really starts to shine. Story
We adopted Honey about 2 years after we got married. We met her at Big Dog Ranch and immediately fell in love with her. She was listed for adoption after aging out of a veterans service program. Honey is a sweet, trained dog with a heart of gold. As far as we know she is approximately 9 years old but her personality is like a puppy. She loves to be pet, cuddles, and loves her toys and treats them as if they are her children. She is a fun sweet dog who once she meets you she will fall in love with you and want to be everywhere with you. She has all her shots, is potty trained, knows commands (Sit, Stay, Come, Up). She has been kept in a crate as well as left to freely roam the house. She has never destroyed anything, and is very well behaved. She loves car rides and going with you everywhere. The only reason we are looking to rehome her is because we live in a one bedroom apartment and recently had a baby and it has just become too much. She truly is amazing and wish we could keep her.
