Story
We adopted Honey about 2 years after we got married. We met her at Big Dog Ranch and immediately fell in love with her. She was listed for adoption after aging out of a veterans service program. Honey is a sweet, trained dog with a heart of gold. As far as we know she is approximately 9 years old but her personality is like a puppy. She loves to be pet, cuddles, and loves her toys and treats them as if they are her children. She is a fun sweet dog who once she meets you she will fall in love with you and want to be everywhere with you. She has all her shots, is potty trained, knows commands (Sit, Stay, Come, Up). She has been kept in a crate as well as left to freely roam the house. She has never destroyed anything, and is very well behaved. She loves car rides and going with you everywhere. The only reason we are looking to rehome her is because we live in a one bedroom apartment and recently had a baby and it has just become too much. She truly is amazing and wish we could keep her.

Story
🐾 Meet Thor 🐾Thor may sound mighty, but underneath the name is a sensitive young pup still learning that the world isn’t so scary. At around 8 months old, Thor has already been adopted twice and returned because adjusting to home life has been hard for him. New places and new people can make him nervous, and when he’s feeling unsure, he can be stubborn about pottying outside while he works through his fears. Because he missed out on important early socialization, Thor needs a patient home committed to helping him build confidence at his own pace.In his most recent home, Thor snapped at a small child during two situations that made him uncomfortable, so we feel he would do best in a home without young children. We don’t see Thor as a bad dog — just an insecure one who struggles when he doesn’t feel safe. But here’s the fun part: once Thor opens up, he transforms into a goofy puppy full of zoomies, happy frolicking laps around the yard, and sweet affection for his people. Watching him let his guard down and finally just be a puppy is incredibly rewarding.Thor is looking for a calm, understanding home willing to go slow, build trust, and cheer on all the little victories along the way. 💛Requirements: Martingale Collar; No ChildrenAll of our dogs and cats are spayed/neutered, up to date with age appropriate vaccinations, heart worm or feleuk/FIV tested, fecal tested, rabies and tag, and microchipped before being placed in your home. Our adoption fee helps cover this cost.

Meet Kimba 🐾 Kimba is a super sweet and gentle girl with a heart full of love. She’s happiest when she’s lounging around the house, soaking up the quiet moments, and enjoying life at her own peaceful pace. Kimba loves calm strolls where she can take in the sights and smells of the world, then come home to curl up on a comfy couch for a cozy nap. She loves kids, is great with other dogs, and has even done well with cats! She’s easy, adaptable, and just wants to be near her humans. She’s the perfect companion for someone who enjoys relaxed days and quiet company. All Kimba needs is a soft spot to rest and a special person to love her — and she’ll give that love right back tenfold. 💕

Story
Duke was adopted by our family from Big Dog Ranch rescue. He was 12 weeks old and has turned into a great dog that loves people and thinks he is a lap dog. We recently moved into a rental townhouse and he exceeds the weight limit for the unit. He also loves to run and play and there is no real area for him to do that. He generally gets a long with other dogs, but will test his ground when playing. He has never bitten anyone or even attempted to bite someone. He is sweet, smart, and is housebroken. Duke would be a wonderful addition to any family, especially if you have room for him to run and play.

Story
Meet Wishbone, a spirited Plott Hound with lots of energy and an even bigger personality! This handsome boy is full of enthusiasm and is always ready for action. Wishbone is a high-energy dog who can be very jumpy, especially when he’s excited, so he’ll need an adopter who is prepared to provide structure, consistency, and ongoing training. He’s still learning the basics and will benefit greatly from guidance to help him channel his energy in positive ways. Because of his needs, experienced adopters are strongly recommended—someone who understands how to work with active, driven dogs and can help him become the best version of himself. Despite all that energy, Wishbone has a soft side too. He loves cuddles, pets, and spending time close to his people once he’s had a chance to burn off some energy. With the right home, plenty of exercise, and continued training, Wishbone has the potential to grow into a loyal, fun-loving, and deeply rewarding companion.
