Story

Hi there, Thank you for taking an interest in Storm. She is 5 turning 6 in February. She has a reserved personality but let loose at the park and at play. She wants to be wherever you are. House trained and will let you know. Great with kids. We have a toddler that really tested her. She has been treated like a part of the family and was allowed to sit with us however we are in middle of reverse training this to stay off furniture, but it is her happy place if you allow it. Needs a soft diet due to an early surgery in her life. She just needs a loving home. Thank you 🙏🏻

Charlie

Catahoula Leopard Dog Hound (Unknown Type)

Sanford, FL

(when grown) -

Details

Good with kids, Good with dogs, Spayed or Neutered,

Story

Apply to Adopt Me! Charlie is a 9- to 10-month-old male Bahamian Potcake, likely with some catahoula leopard/ hound in the mix, and he is one of those dogs who quietly works his way into your heart. Charlie can be shy and a little skittish around new people, but once he decides you’re his person, that bond means everything to him. He may need a little patience and time to fully come out of his shell, but in the meantime he is gentle, quiet, affectionate and incredibly sweet. After starting life on the streets of the Bahamas, Charlie has decided that soft things are one of life’s greatest inventions. Pillows, couches, blankets, comfy dog beds — if it’s cozy, Charlie approves. He loves his toys, hanging with his dog friends, and has recently discovered that pool days are pretty fantastic too. He hasn’t committed to full-on swimming yet, but lounging on the sun shelf like he owns the place? Absolutely. Charlie is still a puppy, so he’ll need someone willing to continue his basic training. He isn’t completely potty trained yet, but he is smart, learns quickly, and is making great progress. His leash walking is also a work in progress. More than anything, Charlie needs a family who understands that the best relationships aren’t always instant. Sometimes the dog who hangs back at first becomes the one who loves you the hardest once he realizes he is finally safe. Charlie came to us with his best friend Arnie. While they do not have to be adopted together, we would LOVE to see these two boys continue their lives side by side. A generous supporter has even offered to cover Charlie’s adoption fee if they are adopted as a pair. If you have a little patience, a soft couch, and room in your life for a gentle soul who just needs someone to believe in him, Charlie may be your boy. If you live in the Central Florida/Orlando area and believe you have the perfect home for Charlie (and Arnie) complete an app and tell us more about your family.October 6, 2026, 3:15 pm

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Our Sweet Surprise Litter! Please check out Tower's charming video below. Foster update: Sweet Tower is settling in well and making great progress in her foster home! She is crate and potty trained and loves chew toys. Tower is a talker—she loves to bark, whether she’s excited, curious, or letting you know she hears something outside. She is also strong, will need kind-patient parents that are fit to care for her. She’d do best in a quiete home with low foot traffic. Busy households with lots of comings and goings are a bit too overwhelming for her. She’s still working on her confidence. Large crowds and noisy environments make her very nervous, so she needs a calm, patient family that will give her time to adjust and feel safe. Tower would thrive in a peaceful home where she can enjoy quiet companionship, gentle encouragement, and lots of love. She’s such a sweet soul who just needs the right environment to truly shine! ******She would do best in a home where she is the only dog.****** ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Important Information for New Puppy Parents Welcoming a new puppy into your home is an exciting and rewarding experience—but it also comes with important responsibilities. To help your puppy grow into a happy, confident, and well-adjusted adult dog, dedication to obedience training, socialization, and consistent potty training is essential . We strongly recommend that the entire family participates in puppy training classes . This not only helps build a strong bond with your new pup but also ensures that everyone is using the same commands and techniques , creating a clear and consistent environment for learning. **Puppies thrive with structure, patience, and positive reinforcement—and so do their families! Story

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.***IN TRAINING TILL MID OCT***Pet Rescue By Judy has teamed up with an incredible program called the Greyhound Advancement Center which will allow some of our dogs to attend a ten-week prison training program. The program originally started to help retired racing greyhounds learn how to “dog”.Greyhound racing is now illegal in our state, but the program worked so well that they decided to open up to other rescues and accept different breeds. Each dog is teamed up with an inmate who is in their dog training program. This program allows inmates to gain an important skill that they can bring with them when they are released. The head trainers are the best of the best and we are sure that these dogs are going to come out of this program with all kinds of tricks up their little doggy sleeves. Our dogs are so blessed to be able to learn important obedience training to help with their confidence and make them awesome additions to a family. We cannot thank Greyhound Advancement Center enough for giving these dogs a leg up on getting into their forever home!Update from Camp Doglando June 2026 on our adorable OREGANO! If you're looking to spice up your life, Oregano is your dog. He's the sweetest little dude and your certified good boy. Oregano is potty trained, crate trained, and amazing in the house. He loves a good play session, especially tag. During camp he has shown his adventurous side when bounding through trails, going in ponds, and discovering new places in nature! He loves his canine companions and would do best in a home with another dog his size to buddy and model after.Mama Rosemary & her sweet herb pups: Rosemary is a devoted mama who made quite the journey with her six adorable puppies in search of brighter days. This sweet family came to Pet Rescue By Judy from an overcrowded shelter in the Florida Panhandle. The puppies were fathered by a Catahoula Leopard Dog. Rosemary appears to be a black and tan hound mix with a gentle, nurturing nature. She has rasied her babies and is now ready for her own forever home. Her six puppies are named after herbs. Oregano must have another dog to play with to keep his confidence up. He plays, sleeps, and eats with other dogs here at the center.
