Adventures of Zero: Adopt Me! Hi friends! My name may be Zero, but foster mom says I'm a 10! Some days a 12! I used to have a home and I thought it was my furever home... but they abandoned me at a dog park. Can you believe that?! That's ok I'm with Friends of Faye now and they are going to help me find the perfect home! But it's taking a really long time. I was in boarding for some time waiting for foster, and it's cool hangin with foster mom and all... but... I'd really like to find my furever family. Meet Zero Age - Adult. About 3-5 yrs old. Gender - Male Size & Breed - Mini Plott hound mix/Mutt. Foster mom says I'm such an adorable mini dwarf dog. I'm full grown, but look like a puppy. I'm a smaller medium sized dog and weigh less than 40 pounds. Don't let the pictures fool you! I'm a small medium! Foster mom can carry me with one arm! Personality - Energetic. Happy. Sweet. Loving. I've been told I have a beautiful smile! Energy level - Medium. Would definitely go for a long walk/run. But totally loves to curl up for a Netflix marathon. I do get the zoomies and can jump around when excited. Housebroken & Crate Trained - Yes & Yes! Basic commands - Knows sit, 'touch', and 'wait' (if you say wait when you give him his food he will not eat until you say 'ok'). Working on others. Leash skills - Could use some work. Doesn't really pull, but he's so excited for walks that he zig zags to smells all the smells. Dog friends - I'm more of an introvert. I like a small circle of best friends. Quality over quantity! When I was in boarding there were too many dogs and it was a bit much... But I love hanging out with foster mom's neighbors' dog's 1:1! I also like to meet new dogs when I'm out on town! Cats friends - Cats are NOT friends. They are nemesis and they MUST be chased! Same thing goes for bunnies and frogs... Kids friends - Unknown. When I'm excited and playing I can zoom around REALLY fast... like Bolt! and I tend to jump...so I might knock little people down by accident. Car manners - PERFECT! As you can see I'm just a perfect dog all around! But foster mom says she wants to tell you about my quirks and what my perfect home would look like. Quirks - I don't even know where do I start with this weirdo??!! - He gives WAY too many kisses.... - Doesn't hog the couch or bed... - Doesn't bark a lot... - Hasn't destroyed a stuffed toy.... - Doesn't go crazy when you crate him... - He's full grown, but looks like a puppy... - And he has an adorable barely noticeable lil underbite... Clearly these quirks are why he hasn't been adopted yet... What is Zero looking for in a furever home... Zero was abandoned at a dog park. We also don't think he was treated well before that. Because of this he can be a bit hesitant when meeting new people. He's always curious and will go up to people to sniff, but sometimes cowers when someone new tries to pet him. He does warm up quickly! He likes to sniff people out, gives them a few kisses, and then lets them pet him. Then the trick becomes 'how do I get him to stop kissing!' So a family who understands this. Other than that Zero is gem! He just wants to feel loved like a dog should be. He loves car rides and adventures, but also loves to chill on the couch. Honestly... He doesn't like to be far from his people. He's seriously been one of the easiest fosters I've have! Zero is available for adoption through Friends of Faye! So, yes, I am named Elsa - after THAT Elsa, too. :) I was found in February in San Antonio when the temps were below freezing and pipes were bursting and things were just not going great for many in San Antonio... Luckily for me, a kind man and his family took me in so I didn't have to stay out in the cold any longer. I am a sensitive girl - yelling and loud voices scare me. But when I know and trust you, I will give you kisses and my whole heart! I am a smart, kind, young, and beautiful brindle girl. I just need a family who will give me the time to become comfortable in my new home and show you the loving dog I was always meant to be.
