Meet Jax! He is a 4 yr old plott hound/lab mix boy who weighs about 40 lbs.  This handsome guy’s personality is 100% loveable. Jax is the sweetest and will shower you with tons of kisses. He is also the best cuddler, so if you are looking to watch tv he is your guy. Some of his favorite things to do are playing in the yard, romping around in the doggy pool, playing with plush toys and going for walks. Jax also likes to play with the resident dogs and run the fence line with the neighbor’s dog. Jax is potty trained and walks great on a leash. He is currently being fostered in an adult only home along with the resident dogs, cats and bunny. Children over the age of 10 is recommended due to him being so wiggly. Your application will be reviewed by our team and if it is a good fit, we will send to the foster family to set up a meet! Story
Bert is approximately 1 year old, plott hound/lab mix, 40 pound ball of snuggles. If you’re in a recliner he’s up there with you snuggling away and asleep within minutes. He walks great on a leash, even does great on slow bike rides with the leash! We have not brought him around kids or cats but he is fantastic with our dogs! We believe he would be best fit in a home with at least another dog that can keep up with his energy. If not, then he needs to be with a family who can play with him. He has been doing super well with potty training. He can sit, shake, knows “kennel up”,  and give kisses on command. He will need to be in a home where someone is home so that he can benefit from continued training and socialization.  Bert truly is the melt-iest love bug out there. He loves doing “mouth snappies” and will never bite you even if you put your hands in his mouth! Trust me we’ve tested it! My name is Jim and I am a happy and carefree guy. I am about 2 years old and weigh around 35 lbs. My breed is anyone's guess! Plott hound, lab, cur... I just know that I love everything about life now that I am in a home with a family. I love hanging out with my dog “brother” and we play all the time. Nothing makes me happier than a good cuddle, scratch, or just sitting next to you on the couch, chilling. I love spending time outdoors sunbathing and going for walks. I’m pretty good about going potty outside but still need some practice. My crate is my night time sleep spot and sometimes I’ll hang out there during the day to relax. I’m really smart and have mastered basic commands. I would love to be part of your family and can’t wait to find my forever home. Colton is a 48-pound, ten-year-old, easy-going, healthy, and companionable chocolate brindle and white Plott Hound-mix looking for a loving guardian. Colton loves his walks, snuggles, and his people. He’s fine sleeping in bed with you, or on a dog bed. He’s very trainable and eager to please. He enjoys camping, hiking, and napping. He’s chill, sweet, and accustomed to being the only pet in the home. He’s typically easy to walk on leash, and good in the car. He’s not reactive to other dogs, but might lunge at a bunny or squirrel. Colton is looking for a home with adults and teens. He does not do well with toddlers, so he’s looking for a person, couple or family without tiny kids, or grandkids coming to the home. Colton is healthy, perfectly housebroken, non-destructive, neutered, vaccinated for rabies and distemper, heartworm-tested, and on monthly heartworm preventative. His adoption fee of $100 benefits the Friends of Petraits Rescue. This boy was part of a neglect/ hoarding case. He is very friendly… with everything! He likes people, kids, either dogs…..not sure on cats but we’re sure he would do well. He has a wonderful personality, he does not need to be in charge. He does well with other dogs and is good on a leash. He loved everyone at an adoption event, he does not meet a stranger!! He is a super good boy who is ready to finally find a home of his own. He will need housetraining but we think he does have some training already. He listens well, just needs some work on manners. He does jump when excited so beware smaller kids. He would do well with a yard or plenty of exercise. An active family would be best as he does not like to sit still when around people, he’s just too excited and happy. He is ready to find his own energetic family.

Meet Tilly, she's a bit quirky at first but let me tell you about how amazing she is if you give her a little time to get to know you. She's a cuddle bug and loves to sleep right next to you at night. When you come home, Tilly is so excited her wiggle butt makes her whole body shake side to side. She's crate trained, housebroken, plays well with other dogs, and great on walks. She knows sit, down, stay and her release word. Loves to carry a stuffed animal around with her, she will need a few as some will not last very long. Tilly loves to chew on empty water bottles she steals from her foster sister. She signals at the back door to let you know she needs to potty and will sunbathe outside when you let her. The quirky, she needs time to get to know you. She is nervous around new people. Will need a slow intro to her new family with older kids. Tilly doesn't like fast movements when she is anxious until she finally warms up to you. Tilly is a local adoption only. Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $450 (includes transport to your area)
