Story
Hello there, sorry for the wait ... My name is Doc and I'm here to see YOU actually! Let's see now, you say you're experiencing the lack of a fun loving companion dog in your life? You need to get out and go on walks more? And you say here that you have a huge backyard but no one to play in it with? These symptoms lead me to believe you're suffering from INAD syndrome ... also known as "I need a dog disease." and we have JUST the cure for you!!! I am a DOC :) Well, I think I can prescribe you something that'll help reduce these symptoms and get you back on track to healthy living.... here is what one of my admirers has to say about me ;) "Doc is a super playful dude and is soo happy to meet everyone he sees and just is an overall bouncing bundle of joy. He loves walks, pets and scratches, and loves to do sprints with you. When you're walking he will walk slightly ahead of you and is super excited to meet everyone. He'll try to pull but once he realizes you are not coming too fast he will do this cute little hop thing where he bounces between his front paws and his back paws, its adorable" That is quite an admirer, right??? If you'll just go ahead and sign here on my adoption papers, we can get started right now on your treatment!! Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $450 (includes transport to your area)

Story
Butkus is a 1-year-old Plott Hound mix who is ready for adoption and looking for a fresh start with a patient, active family. This boy came from a difficult situation — his home is now condemned, and he had been left outside overnight before escaping the yard. With no safe place to return to, Butkus is now at the shelter ready to begin a new chapter.Butkus is very much still a young dog learning how to channel his big energy. He is strong, playful, and full of enthusiasm, and he doesn’t always realize his size. When he’s out, he can be very excited and jump up for attention in a full-body, “happy to see you” kind of way. He’s still learning manners and will benefit from continued training, structure, and consistency in a home environment. He is very social and extremely interested in other dogs and wants to play, but his excitement can be a lot at first. He’ll do best with guided introductions and a family willing to help him learn appropriate play and settle skills.Butkus is a young dog who missed out on structure and is now ready for someone to help him grow into his best self. He needs: * A patient, committed home* Training, routine, and consistency*Daily exercise and enrichment* Positive outlets for his energyBecause of his size and enthusiasm, a home without small children is recommended.Butkus is ready to bond deeply with someone who understands that he’s still learning. With guidance and love, he’s going to make a loyal, fun, and very devoted companion.

Story
Please note that we are a foster based rescue in TX. All of our dogs reside in foster homes in TX. We transport them to new states once adopted. ALL ADOPTERS MUST BE 21+. Our app can be found at haydudeequine.org JAMIE - 1-Year-Old Mix Looking for His Forever Cowboy/Cowgirl Howdy, partner! I'm Jamie, and I've got a story to tell you. I didn't have the best start to life. I spent my early days in a garage with my siblings, pretty scared of the world and unsure about people. But then something magical happened: I met my foster dad, and he showed me that the world is actually AMAZING. These days? You'll find me rocking my cowboy hat at breweries, coffee shops, restaurants, and just about anywhere my foster dad goes. I've discovered that I'm kind of a star. People love me, and honestly, I love them right back! I've come SO far from that scared puppy in the garage. Now I'm the guy who greets everyone with a wagging tail and makes friends wherever I go. Here's what you should know about me: I'm basically a 60-pound shadow who wants to be wherever you are. Couch time? I'm there for cuddles. Running errands? Let me grab my hat! Long hike? Count me in (but fair warning, you might catch me napping afterward with my tongue hanging out. It's my signature look). I've got that perfect mix of energy. I love a good play session with my stuffed pony or a game of fetch, but I'm also totally content just hanging out by your side. I'm a gentleman on leash, I know sit and stay, I'm house-trained, and I even know how to use the dog door. I'm crate-trained too, though I'd much rather be snuggled up next to you. I LOVE other dogs and enjoy playing with them, and here's something special about me: even when other dogs have been rude or aggressive toward me, I've never once snapped back. I just don't have a mean bone in my body. I'm great with kids, food-motivated (which means I'm super easy to train!), and I promise I won't destroy your toys. I just like to play with them. I'm looking for a home where I can be part of the family, ideally with someone who's home often or has a yard where I can hang out. I haven't been tested with cats, so that's a mystery we'd have to solve together. The bottom line? I went from a scared, unsocialized puppy to a confident, hat-wearing social butterfly who just wants to be your best friend. I've got so much love to give, and I'm ready to find my forever person to share adventures with. Ready to adopt a cowboy? Let's ride off into the sunset together! 🤠

Story
Caterpillar’s blue eyes will get you. This handsome Australian shepherd mix puppy has the most captivating eyes that are a perfect match for his fun and loving personality. Caterpillar loves to play tug and wrestle with his siblings. He has silly puppy energy spurts, but mostly he's a chill and relaxed little guy that loves to snuggle. While he’s independent and curious,  he also always likes to have his person in his sight line for attention and direction.  Caterpillar is deaf and is learning hand signals. He’s working on potty training and leash walking and is so bright, he’ll have them down pat quickly. Caterpillar adores other dogs and would love a home with a dog buddy. His ideal family would have a physical, fenced yard and someone who is home much of the time. This handsome guy is being fostered in the St. Louis area. Story
Blossom’s story is a sad one, but we are working on a happy ending. She was adopted six years ago into a wonderful home where she was deeply loved by her mom. Sadly, her mother developed dementia and had to move into a care facility. Blossom is trying to figure out what’s next for her. Blossom is an Aussie mix who is sweet and has amazing manners. She’s fairly low energy, but loves going on walks, playing fetch, and cuddling on the couch. She adores squeaky toys and has a favorite tennis ball.  Blossom is completely potty trained and is incredibly trustworthy in the house. She has a crate for napping, but she doesn’t need it. She’lll be perfectly content until you come home. She knows so many commands including sit, wait, down, come, paw, bed and crate. She has mild vision loss in one eye, but it doesn’t stop her from anything. Aside from the occasional outing, Blossom really would love to be a homebody. She doesn’t need to have a full social calendar and just isn’t your coffee shop, dog park-kinda girl. She’s happy with you and the couch and loads of snuggles. She is such a happy, sweet girl and so well-behaved. Blossom just loves being loved and giving love. This sweet pup is being fostered in the St. Louis area.
