This sweet girl can be a little shy at first, but she warms up quickly—especially if you have treats to share! Daisy is great with other dogs, crate trained, and has the softest, most loving spirit. Story
PHILLIP is a stunning young mixed breed dog looking for a home. He's around 1 year old and appears to be fully grown at 39 pounds although he could stand to gain a couple of pounds. Our best guess on breed is a Plott Hound/Beagle mix. He's trim and athletic and drop dead gorgeous, photos don't do him justice. This poor dog was trembling in fear in a rural shelter and needed someone to save him so we did. Phillip is all nose, he needs to sniff every single blade of grass in the yard. He's good natured but timid and will need some time to warm up. He's good with other dogs and needs a physically-fenced yard. If you'd like to meet Phillip, please fill out a dog adoption application at dreamhouserescue.org. We are happy to arrange a private meet with an approved adopter. You can meet Phillip at our weekly adoption event, Saturday 11:30am-1:30pm at PetSmart Eastgate. Our fully-vetted adoptable dogs go to prospective homes for a one-week trial period to make sure the dog and home are the right fit before an adoption is finalized. We only adopt dogs into homes where all current pets are spayed/neutered and current on vaccines and heartworm and flea and tick prevention. We do check veterinary references to make sure adopters are compliant with standard veterinary care. Our adoptable dogs are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, heartworm tested, dewormed and current on flea and tick and heartworm prevention. Meet Pumpernickel! This 3 month old, 24 lb, female, possible plot hound mix will melt your ! Pumpernickel has yet to embrace her hound heritage. She thinks searching for things and howling at the is for the dogs!! Pumpernickel prefers the comfort of a cozy , with or without the company of her friends! Pumpernickel is smart. Her favorite game? When everyone else goes outside, she runs to get into bed because she prefers to be carried outside! If you are looking for a plotty princess, Princess Pumpernickel is your girl!!    All of our dogs are spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, microchipped and if over 6 months of age, heartworm tested and on heartworm preventative in their foster home. We require an approved application to meet any of our dogs. We do not have a shelter location and will not arrange a meeting without an approved application. We strive to make sure the bios provided for our dogs are complete and accurate; we do understand that mistakes happen, however, so if you absolutely cannot find the answer to your question in the dog's bio, you can contact us for more information. We require a home visit for each dog we adopt out, so we adopt within a 2 hour radius of Dayton, OH.
