Good Day, Leonardo here! I am nervous with new people, but a little patience and understanding will go a long way. I am just the most pleasant boy and I can't wait to be someone's forever friend, especially if that means that I get to give unlimited hugs and kisses :) I listen very well and also know basic commands! My human friends say I also walk well on a leash too! I wouldn't mind being the only pup in your life, but I could also be okay with a super calm, chill doggie friend. I've never met little humans before though, so I would need to meet any kids in the home to make sure we can be friends too! *I’ve been waiting for my forever home for over 100 days, which makes me a Featured Pet! That means my adoption fee is completely waived—all I need now is the right family to take me home.* I am eligible for foster!

His breed is an AI guess but he did come from the south and Plott Hounds are more common in North Carolina. He has been living in a shelter situation so housetraining probably is expected. Might already have had some training but this is unknown. Smart breed though.

She started out shy, but her loving personality is shining through more and more as she learns that the world isn’t so scary. Nisa is currently in a foster home and having an absolute blast with her foster sister, Sallie Jo (also adoptable!). The two are best friends and love to play, snuggle, and spend time together. While they are not technically a bonded pair, they would be very happy to stay together if someone is looking to add two dogs to their family. Nisa does well with the other dogs in the home and really thrives around canine companions. She’s very food motivated, which makes her a fun and easy candidate for learning new tricks. She makes a great companion for snuggles on the couch, movie nights, hikes, car rides, or just being near her people. Nisa can still be a bit shy with new humans, but she’s blossomed so much and continues to gain confidence every day. Because she learns so well from other dogs, she will need another dog in the home to help her continue feeling secure and confident.
