Meet Jade! Jade is a 3.5-month-old Plott Hound mix who is as adorable as she is lovable! This sweet girl is curious about everything, loves to play, and never turns down a good cuddle session. Whether she's exploring the backyard or snuggling up beside you, Jade is happiest spending time with her people. She's ready to find her forever family and share a lifetime of love! The adoption fee is $450 and covers age appropriate vaccines, a microchip, and a spay/neuter.  Applications are typically worked in time stamp order based on date/time of submission.  If you have other dogs in your home, they must all meet the potential adoptee.  It may save you a trip to bring them with you when you visit, if you are certain you want to adopt a new family member. *****We are currently operating by appointment only due to a shortage of personnel.   If you want to meet this pet, or are interested in adopting, please submit an inquiry or email to tchspapillion@gmail.com.  Someone from the rescue will contact you and/or your family and determine, on a broad level, whether you might be a fit for the animal.  If so, they will provide instructions for completing the application. Your application will be reviewed and you will be contacted to set up a time to meet at the shelter or the foster home.   The introduction between you and the pet will be supervised by one of the dog counselors or the foster.   If all goes well, you can adopt during the same visit. Story
Meet Bella — A Bright, Loving Young Pup Ready for Her Perfect Home Bella is a 1yearold mixedbreed sweetheart with a gentle spirit, a playful streak, and a whole lot of love to give. She’s been wellcared for and deeply loved, and now she’s looking for a home that can give her the time, structure, and attention she deserves. What Bella Brings to Your Life Housebroken — She’ll whine or alert you when she needs to go out. Dog & Cat Friendly — Plays beautifully with other dogs, including puppies. Great With Kids — Friendly with children of all ages. Knows Commands — Smart, eager to learn, and responsive. Active & Playful — Loves to fetch, especially tennis balls. Lead Training in Progress — She grew up with a fenced yard, so she’s still learning what a leash means, but she’s doing well. Health Info She has a skin condition, and her current owner will provide medicated shampoos and calming chews to help her continue feeling her best. A Few Notes About Her Background Bella has always had a fenced yard, so that’s what she’s used to. She’s been doing well on a lead, she just needs someone patient to guide her. She’s a very good girl who thrives on routine, reassurance, and playtime. Bella will shine in a home with: A fenced yard or someone committed to helping her continue leash training Time and attention — she bonds deeply and wants to be included Walks, playtime, and fetch sessions A family atmosphere — she loves people and does well with kids Another friendly dog (optional, but she enjoys the company The suggested adoption donation for Bella is $400, which includes a lifetime of free relationship-based training for any behavioral problems (not obedience training). Muddy Paws is a 501c3 non-profit organization meaning that part of your donation MAY be TAX DEDUCTIBLE. We are a 100% volunteer rescue committed to giving animals a second chance at life. All donations go toward that mission. Adoption fees are the primary source of funding for the cost of veterinary care for our animals. In 2022 alone, we provided animal Healthcare totaling over $399,000 covered mainly through adoption fees. Please Note: A Courtesy Post designates that an animal is still in the home of its owner and not in a Muddy Paws foster. This means that our exposure to the animal is limited since we only assist the owner in finding a new home for their pet. From time to time, owners find a new furever home for their pets outside of Muddy Paws Last Chance Rescue, and there is a delay in removing them from our site. We apologize if the Courtesy Post you apply to adopt is unavailable for adoption.Information about the adoption process: All adoptions require a completed ADOPTION APPLICATION. Once your application has completed our prescreen steps, we will put you in touch with the animal’s foster to see if you and the pet are a good match. If so, we will arrange a meeting for you and the animal. The adoptions for all of our animals will take place in the Omaha, NE area and must be done by the adoptive family in person. We do not ship or deliver. Please Note: We are a RESCUE, which is different from a shelter. We conduct veterinary and personal reference checks, and a Home Visit (Virtual in some cases) during the application approval process. We always select the right applicant for each animal, based on the animal’s needs. If you and the animal are not a good match, we will help you select another animal, or we will keep your approved application on file for 6 months. To learn about Muddy Paws Last Chance Rescue or donate to our animals, please visit our website at MuddyPawsSecondChanceRescue.com or our Facebook Page Muddy Paws Second Chance Rescue Inc.  If the dog or cat you adopt is older than 6 months of age and not spayed or neutered, you will receive a voucher to alter the pet at Val Verde Animal Hospital in Omaha, at no cost to you.  Or you can alter the pet at your own vet and be reimbursed $100 for dogs, and $50 for cats, of total cost.  If the dog or cat is younger than 6 months of age, adopter will be responsible for the cost of altering the pet at the vet of their choice.  If proof of alter is received by Muddy Paws prior to the pet turning 6 months of age, a reimbursement of $100 for dogs and $50 for cats, will be sent to you to help cover expenses.  [Muddy Paws can also suggest a vet with a reduced cost for alters.]  All puppies and kittens MUST be spayed or neutered by 6 months of age.  All dogs and cats MUST be spayed or neutered no later than one month after adoption is finalized.  Thank you in advance for your compliance. ##2687628##
