Story
I have had Poppy since she was 10 weeks old. She has become a very special dog. She is the caretaker of the house and the other dogs. She has slept on my bed since house trained. She absolutely loves children! She is gentle and loves to run and also sleep! She does not like cats. She loves to run. She needs a little more leash training. She has some anxiety with thunder and fireworks. Very sweet girl!

Story
Pet Location: Nellie is currently living in a foster home! If you`d like to schedule a time to meet her, please contact Wayside Adoptions at (816) 986-4426.My Friends at Wayside say: - I am a graduate of Confidence College. In this program, I gained confidence and learned that the world is not so scary. My adoption comes with a free 30-minute private training session. - Once I warm up, I`ve been described as a wiggly, goofy and social girl!- I’m housebroken when kept on a schedule in my foster home. - Volunteers say that I walk well on leash.- I am eligible for a Slumber Pawty, a 7-10 day in-home trial period. If you already have a dog at home, the Slumber Pawty is required. Please visit our website for additional information. My home needs are: - I need a home with kids 6 years and older since I tend to be nervous around new people and loud noises. - Wayside requires bringing the whole family out to meet me before adoption - new people can make me a little nervous.- If you do have a dog in the home, I must meet them prior to adoption to ensure that we can be buddies. - For my safety, I need to go home on an anti-slip collar called a martingale collar. For your convenience, we sell them in our retail store, Whiskers and Wags.Check out my super cool new video! Scroll through my photos to watch it.Hi there, I’m Nellie! I have the sweetest nature and the world’s softest fur. You’ll understand what I mean when you come to meet me. I’m shy at first, too, and it takes me extra time to grow comfortable with you. But I’m brave and resilient, and I’m ready to blossom into the silly, happy dog that I was always meant to be. Once we bond, you’ll find yourself smiling as I bounce around in pure joy playing with my toys or as I rest my head gently in your lap, soaking up all the love and attention you show me. Ah, I can’t wait to be your best buddy. I hope you want that too.I’m an adorable, 1-year old, 47-pound sweetheart, with beautiful brindle fur, gentle, soulful eyes, and an unassuming, lovely, goofy personality. I’m already housebroken, too, as long as you keep me on a schedule and get me out regularly. A kind stranger found me as a stray and brought me to safety at Wayside. While it felt good to be cared for and loved, the big shelter felt awfully stressful to a shy gal like me. I enrolled in Wayside’s Confidence College, where I made so much progress and met lots of new friends. And the

Story
Meet Santos! This sweet boy started life as a sick sick puppy doomed with parvo alongside his sister, until we got them the lifesaving care they needed and they survived! Santos was adopted for a while but recently returned due to his adopters moving. He is great with all dogs, kids, and people. Santos is very gently, snuggly, and a big old lap dog. He loves to romp around with other dogs and would do best in a home with friends to play with. Santos is also great with cats! He is truly a wonderful boy who will make any lucky family happy for life.

These pups are in Olathe, Kansas too!

Story
👀 Look at this speckle-tacularly handsome boy! 👀 Spend your days (and nights) with an attractive young man who’ll charm you with loving companionship and keep you feeling vital and active. Ok, so he’s actually a dog, but we promise you won’t lack for company. Apollo is confident and athletic, and he is as friendly as they come. He is a 1-year-old Catahoula Leopard Dog/Husky mix who weighs 40 svelte pounds. When he’s outside, Apollo wants to get moving. He’s easy to walk with you on the leash, and he’s all about the good smells, the neighborly folks and the peppy dog buddies. He could also make a terrific running partner, if you’d like to speed it up a little. Either way, he hopes that walking or exercise can happen daily. Once he comes inside, he’s mellow and attentive and ready to hang with his people or another dog(s) while they relax. He’ll probably even catch a snoooooze himself, and he prefers a 4-legged and 2-legged snuggling pal while he sleeps. At night, he slumbers in bed with his people. Apollo is a quick learner, and he already boasts a solid list of commands he knows, like sit, shake, down, and stay. He could be up for some higher-level training like agility work or other advanced commands, if you’d like to do that with him. Otherwise, bring out the toys, and he’ll have a grand time with squeaky toys and some bones. He enjoys a puzzle or a filled Kong as well. He is good with kids and gets along great with other dogs, so everyone is welcome. He’d love to have a dog sibling or other local canine playmate to romp with, but that’s not a requirement. He is house-trained and crate-trained. He can climb a chain-link fence, so he’ll need a privacy fence or a secure tether wherever he lives. Apollo is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped and current on heartworm preventative and flea/tick prevention. His adoption fee is $175 – we know you’ll find true love with this guy! Apply to adopt him today. Meet and greets will be scheduled with approved adopters from PawsitiveTailsKC.org. 🖤🤎❤️🧡💛💚💙💜🤍💜💙💚💛🧡❤️🤎🖤 APPLY @ PawsitiveTailsKC.org 🖤🤎❤️🧡💛💚💙💜🤍💜💙💚💛🧡❤️🤎🖤
