Meet Auggie, our beautiful Catahoula/Shepherd friend with City of Raytown Animal Services! Auggie was abandoned by her owners and then ran in fear for days in the middle of a highway; she was even struck by a car at one point. Thankfully, Auggie is safe now. And despite everything she's been through, she's a sweet and loving girl. Auggie is around a year old and would love a home where she can fully relax, be leash walked, and build up her confidence. She has warmed up quickly to the staff caring for her with a slow introduction. A new forever home would allow her to get back to being the goofy young pup we know she is. She appears to like other dogs, too! Please call or text The Pet Connection at 913-671-7387 for more information about this sweet baby. She's in the Kansas City metro, but transport is available to the right home.

Ask our staff for more info! My home needs are: - I need a home with kids 6 years old and older since I tend to be nervous with too much petting.Hi there, I’m Bluey! I am beautiful, both inside and out, and I will make such a nice companion for my new family. I love everyone I meet, which is quite remarkable when you hear my story. Like most dogs, I am resilient and forgiving. And I am the perfect combination of energetic and silly and crazy fun, mixed with an affectionate, loving, couch potato vibe at times. I’m already housebroken and crate trained too. Sadly, I’ve had a difficult life. When I got to Wayside, I was so thin from severe starvation that I wasn’t even sure I could carry on. Under the care of the kind vets at Wayside, I was able to begin the process of slowly increasing my food intake and gaining the weight that I so desperately needed to survive. These days, I’m on a normal diet and I continue to appropriately put on the pounds. I’m living the healthy and happy life that I so deserve. The best part is that I’ve been able to get nourished back to health in a loving foster home. Foster Mom lets me know how important and special I am every single day. Ah, life is good.I love having a routine that I can count on. I stay in my crate when no one is home, alongside of Foster Mom’s other dogs, and I do great with this set up. At night, we all get to sleep in the bedroom. I usually choose the bed or a big, comfy chair. I typically get up around 4:30 for a quick potty break and a drink of water before heading back to bed. When someone is home, I can roam free in the house. My foster parents keep an eye on me, but I’m very well behaved. I’m mostl
