Meet Copper, our handsome and distinguished gentleman, who`s been with us at Burlington Animal Services since May 2025. Copper knows how to take life slow and steady, but don’t let his relaxed pace fool you - he’s still got plenty of love to give!Copper is a sweet, low-key guy who’s all about the good things in life: tasty treats, squeaky toys, and car rides. He’s the perfect companion if you’re looking for a chill pup who enjoys life’s simple pleasures (he loves belly rubs)! While he may not be up for wrestling matches with other dogs (he’s a bit of a solo adventurer), Copper is as sweet as can be with his people.He’s been in a playgroup here, but it turns out he’s not the biggest fan of sharing the spotlight with other dogs. We’re not sure how he feels about cats or kids just yet, but if you’re looking for a loyal, low-maintenance buddy who’ll cherish your company, Copper’s your guy.Ready to give this sweet boy the home he deserves? Hugh was owner surrendered to us.  He is super sweet and playful and seems to get along with other dogs.   He does not like men however.    video included of him playing with his buddy Mia est dob 9/24/16 The standard adoption fee is $200, but it may vary depending on the situation and the animal. This includes vetting such as shots, spaying or neutering, microchipping, deworming, and heartworm testing if the animal is over six months of age. Please note****  We are a volunteer organization.  Adoption events are held every Saturday 10-2 at our facility located st 2049 Badin Rd.  Most of our animals are in foster homes.  Please contact the foster if you would like to meet one of our rescues.   You may complete an application for approval to start the adoption process at www.stanlycountyhumanesociety.org, under the 'Adoption' tab.
