Story
Meet Taeko, who comes to us from the community, as her original owners surrendered her to us because they had a lifestyle change and no longer had time for her. Taeko was then adopted from our rescue less than a year ago, but per her second owner, fell down the stairs and her injury was too expensive for him to take her to the vet to give her the much-needed medical attention. Taeko is a 3-year-old, 57 lb., Plott Hound mix. She has had a very rough start in life and is in need of a safe and loving environment to be her soft landing and finally her forever home. Her previous injury was so bad, she had to have her back leg amputated. But this doesn't slow her down at all. She gets around just fine and hangs with the best of them. Taeko is very smart, housetrained, crate-trained, loves car rides, has impeccable leash manners, is calm, quiet, and very well-behaved. She is affectionate and is good with people and kids. While she does play with other dogs, she is dog selective and prefers to give all of her affection and attention to her human friends and family. We feel she would thrive best in a home with other fur siblings and no cats. Taeko is spayed, up to date on her vaccines, and microchipped. She has captured the hearts of the volunteer walkers and staff at boarding and if given the chance, she’ll capture yours as well. If you are interested in meeting this smart girl, for adoption or to foster, (she's currently living in boarding) please reach out to us for an application.

Story
What if a Plott Hound crossed with Labrador? Owen is one of Jo’s puppies— Jo is the 45 lb Lab/Vizsla-looking mom (We’ve included a pic of mom) and Dad’s the mystery contributor behind the bold brindle coat, the substantial hound ears, and that athletic frame. Even at this age, Owen’s already showing a good mix of traits. He’s playful and full of puppy energy, but not chaotic — he’s social, curious, and noticeably quick to pick up on things. Watches the world closely, then jumps in with confidence. A smart, engaging puppy with real potential as he grows. If you’re after something with brains, playfulness, and presence, he’s worth meeting.
