Stella - adopted several years ago and returned through no fault of hers because owner cannot care for her. She is friendly and loves attention, good on a leash, very affectionate. She recently spent time in a foster home, and the foster described her as a great dog, very treat oriented, and "loves to please." To make an appointment to meet her, complete the online adoption application at www.denisonanimalwelfaregroup.org/adopt $75 adoption fee includes spay surgery, age-appropriate vaccinations and microchip. She tested POS for heartworms and her treatment through the DAWG program will be at no cost to adopter. Adopter must agree to make her available for treatment(s). She has been treated for parasites and started on flea/tick/heartworm medications.

Meet Captain, a fun-loving young pup ready to lead his new family on plenty of adventures! Born around April 6, 2025, Captain is a 40-lb mixed breed with a playful personality and a heart full of love. He was originally adopted from the Dallas Animal Shelter in June 2025 and has grown into a happy, energetic boy. Captain is a social pup who does well with dogs, cats, and children, making him a great candidate for many types of families. Like most young dogs, he has lots of energy and loves to play, explore, and give enthusiastic hugs to the people he loves. He is housebroken and crate trained, and he’s already neutered, microchipped, current on vaccinations and has tested negative for heartworms.  Captain is looking for a home that can give him the time, attention, and playtime a young dog deserves. With his affectionate personality and joyful spirit, he’s sure to make a wonderful companion for an active family ready to welcome a loyal new best friend.
