Story
Meet Max... Max is a sweet guy who loves humans, small and big. He's good with most dogs as well. Max enjoys nothing more than being around his people and snuggle up but he's also ready to go for car rides or enjoy outdoor activities with his family. He is house and kennel trained. While Max is good with most dogs we recommend female dogs. Max only issue is that he is food aggressive with other dogs (not with people) so he has to get fed in his kennel or in another room. This is something that's easy to manage. Max was abandoned together with 6 other dogs in an apartment in deplorable conditions. He was there for 3 weeks when we heard about it and rescued him and the others. So we can't blame him that he does not want to share his food. Other than that he's an absolutely great dog. Athena is a loving and smart dog.She quickly learns commands and loves to get treats.All she wants is to be next to her humans and cuddle.She does not care about cats.We have 2 more dogs, one is a puppy recently adopted.Athena does well with the other dogs most of the time time, but unfortunately she can get jealous and territorial at times and snap at the other dogs.I would love to find her a new home for her to have all the love and attention that she wants and deserves.

Hoss is a 70lb Catahoula mix born in 2019, we think. Fully vetted, heart worm negative. Playful and loving with lots of enthusiasm. Hoss is treat motivated and been through training with Mark McKibben. Hoss is very active and needs a yard that he can burn off his excess energy.  Small children might get knocked over with Hoss' zest for life. He would not be best with other small animals.
