Story
Meet Scout Scout is a loving and loyal dog. She's happiest around adults and loves to be petted and included. She is food-motivated. Scout currently lives with our large male Great Pyrenees and two children (7 and 4). She can be protective of her home and her people, and she tends to see dogs outside her household as a threat, but gets along very well with her brother. Scout is a sweet dog who does well in a calm, predictable environment. She’s generally comfortable around people, but we’ve noticed that in busier moments, such as when friends or family are visiting, she can become unsettled. With our third baby on the way, our home is about to get even busier, and we want Scout to have a space where she can truly feel safe, relaxed, and cared for. That’s why we’ve made the loving decision to find her a new home that’s the best fit for her personality and needs.

Story
•Potty-trained •Crate-trained •Low energy •Good with dogs *Check out Meadow's video featured on The Dodo!* https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=klQPuEMd8xU Meadow has one of the gentlest hearts we’ve ever met. At first, she was so unsure about the world—but she’s been incredibly brave, trying new things even when she’s scared. She’s starting to open up and it’s the most beautiful thing to watch. She loves laying her head on her foster mom and just being close. She’s soft, sweet, and slowly showing us the playful side she’s been keeping tucked away. Meadow was rescued from the streets of the Rio Grande Valley in south Texas. We don’t think she’s ever lived inside a home until she arrived to her foster. She is low energy and doesn’t require a yard or long walks, so she could definitely live in an apartment. She is fully potty-trained and crate-trained. Meadow has done great with another dog after proper introductions. She currently lives with two other dogs in her foster home and peacefully coexists. She is learning how to walk on leash and doesn’t pull. Unfortunately we don’t know which breeds she is but we do know she is truly gorgeous. She deserves to find a family who will treasure her forever! She is ready to find her perfect match. Meadow is currently fostered in Victoria, TX. If you are interested in adding Meadow to your family, please fill out the adoption application found on our website: www.savingsouthtexas.com/adoptables

Story
To know Chuck is to love him. All you need to do is take that first step. Why is he worth it? Well, after almost 3 years in the shelter system, Chuck has not given up on people. He loves his friends, and will greet them with a bouncy joy and a face full of kisses. He’s a loyal companion who’s happy to hang with you, entertain himself with a long-lasting chew, or go on walks to investigate every possible scent. Need more enticement? Imagine this. Chuck is basically if Einstein and Sherlock Holmes had a baby... but brindle and houndlike. So, even better! He is incredibly smart, curious, an avid puzzler, likes earning an agility course or lying at your feet while you work. He loves to learn, and, as a Top Dog trainee, he’s mastered sit, down, stay/wait, place, is polishing up his leash walking skills, and is totally crate trained. Being eager to please and loving to work for treats makes training easy to maintain. But Chuck doesn’t spend his whole day Einsteining, Sherlock Holmsing, and playing fetch. He also enjoys some leisurely down time lying in the sun or curled up with a favorite toy. (Yes, Chuck would do best in a house with a yard.) The best part? When you’re ready to wind down, he’d love nothing more than a nap next to you while you finish your latest Netflix series. He's a pretty solid cuddler too! Is Chuck willing to share your attention with children or another dog? He has no experience with little kids but could possibly live with older teens. He is a bit more selective with dogs and tends to prefer one-on-one playdates with the ladies, so a stable female friend might work. The best way to know if your dog and Chuck will be a good match is to reach out to us to schedule a dog dog meet and greet. Are you ready to join the Chuck Fan Club? He's waiting for you.

Story
Sassy is a pup who can fit into so many types of homes, and it's truly a mystery why she's been at the shelter as long as she has. She's housetrained, social with other dogs, and such a polite, independent girl. Sassy girl walks nicely on her leash and knows "sit" and "paw." She is very treat motivated and super smart, so it would be pretty easy to train her to do so many fun tricks.Sassy is a pretty easy going dog who loves puzzle toys and eating tasty things. She might tell you she wants another treat with a "sasy" bark, but we don't imagine she'll be a super loud girl at home. It's just that she knows she's a queen who deserves a soft bed and lots of tasty snacks with a family who loves her. Primary Color: Brown Brindle Secondary Color: White Weight: 49.6 Age: 3yrs 6mths 0wks

Story
Meet Toffee (brindle) and Heath (white), a bonded pair of one-and-a-half-year-old Catahoula mix brothers with an unshakable connection. These two grew up side by side and have been inseparable ever since. Toffee is hearing-impaired and looks to Heath as his guide and emotional support, while Heath takes that role to heart, always looking out for his brother. Both boys are friendly and affectionate, though they can be a bit timid in new situations. Once they warm up, their personalities shine—Heath is the energetic social butterfly, always ready for playtime or a walk, and Toffee brings a gentle, calming presence with his sweet, soulful eyes. They love running and playing together, whether it’s chasing each other around the yard or stretching out in the grass for a good nap. Their bond makes them the perfect team—Heath gives Toffee confidence, and Toffee keeps Heath grounded. They’re looking for a home that will embrace their unique connection and give them both the love, patience, and space to thrive. With Toffee and Heath, you’re not just adopting dogs—you’re gaining a loyal duo that will fill your life with double the love and twice the tail wags. Story
Meet Bronco! Bronco is an amazing pup, estimated to be between 1–2 years old, and he’s still very much in that playful puppy phase. Curious about everything, he loves exploring the world around him and discovering new sights, smells, and adventures. Bronco gets along wonderfully with other dogs and currently has three foster siblings he enjoys playing and lounging with throughout the day. He is also potty trained, and he is currently working on becoming fully kennel trained. This sweet boy is quite the talker—Bronco loves to express himself with silly grumbles, playful barks, and funny little sounds, especially when he’s excited or vying for attention. He has a big personality and an even bigger heart. While he can be a bit skittish at first and sometimes thinks he’s in trouble when you approach, he is quickly learning that people can be kind and gentle. Each day, he grows more confident, more trusting, and more affectionate. In the evenings, Bronco enjoys curling up on a cozy dog bed, and he’ll occasionally trot over to give you a soft “boop” as his sweet way of asking for pets. He also has great protective instincts—if he hears a strange noise outside, he’ll be the first to investigate and alert his people. Bronco is well on his way to becoming a loyal, loving, and devoted companion. With continued patience, reassurance, and love, he will blossom into the incredible dog he is meant to be. He’s ready to find a forever family to adore and protect. Bronco is being fostered in a home in Seguin, TX but can be transported to the PNW and NE United States after adoption.
