Story
Meet Trout- your next best friend and adventure buddy! He’s equal parts silly entertainer, cozy cuddle bug, and professional sniff enthusiast. Trout is the kind of dog who knows exactly how to enjoy life. He follows a routine like a pro and will absolutely let you know when it’s time to start the day. Once he’s up and going, he’s ready to play, explore, and of course check in on what snacks might be available. One of Trout’s greatest talents is entertaining himself. He loves tossing his toys into the air and chasing after them like it’s his full time job! When he does have a playmate, he’s happy to wrestle and romp for a bit before settling down for a well earned cuddle session. He has a playful, sometimes chatty style with other dogs and does a great job adjusting to their vibe, making him a wonderful companion for a medium energy dog who enjoys both playtime and downtime. As a true hound at heart, Trout lives for the sniff. Walks with him are less about distance and more about the journey! He enjoys beach outings, casual strolls, and any adventure that lets him use his nose and take in the world at his own pace. After a little initial excitement, he’s also happy to settle in for a nap on car rides, dreaming about his next outing. At home, Trout is incredibly snuggly and loves to curl up on the couch for long naps with his people. He’s more on the people-neutral side at first and prefers to seek out affection when he’s ready, but once he does, he leans all the way in for love and connection. Trout is a goofy, adaptable guy who balances play and relaxation beautifully. He’s just as happy tossing toys around the house as he is snoozing beside you after a day of adventures. With his love of routine, his easygoing nature with other dogs, and his affectionate personality, Trout is ready to find a home where he can be your loyal companion, your snuggle partner, and your favorite little weirdo all in one. Medical info: Trout is on medication for seizures. They are manageable and well controlled on medication, which he’ll need for the rest of his life.  Trout is estimated to have been born in September 2023 and weighs 76 lbs. He is a hound mix who plays hard, naps hard, and can’t wait to show you that of all the fish in the sea, he’s the one you’ve been waiting for! Trout’s adoption fee is $450. He is neutered, up to date on vaccines, and microchipped. Per our rescue policy, unless specifically noted in a dog's bio, we will not consider adoption applications from families with children under 5 years old.  Fill out an adoption application for Trout at: https://www.forgottendogsrescue.com/adoption-application ##2641957##

Story
I am Lady Pinta, a playful, calm, and happy girl who is looking for a loving home. I adore playing with other dogs, especially friendly and gentle ones. I love bringing the ball, playing tug of war, and spending time with people who make me feel safe. I know how to sit, stay, and come when called, and I am learning more every day.I showed up at my rescuer home about three months ago. I was on the street and in heat, and she helped get me sterilized. After that, she could not bring herself to send me back outside, and I have been safe with her ever since.I am very affectionate, but I can still be nervous when meeting new people. I would love a home with a calm, playful dog, a female owner, and even cats. I do not want to be alone for long hours. This dog is currently in foster care in La Paz, Mexico, but will be transported upon adoption or foster placement. As a U.S. nonprofit, Hope 4 La Pawz, handles all logistics and provides full behavioral and medical info in advance.
