The adoption fee is $750 and includes all vetting per our veterinarian: DAPP (2 to 4 depending on age and time in the program), Bordetella, Rabies vaccine, multiple broad spectrum deworming treatments, spay/neuter surgery, flea prevention, 2-6 months of heartworm preventative according to age, heartworm testing and heartworm treatment if applicable, extended medical such as dentals, eye surgeries, and orthopedic surgeries prior to adoption when suggested by our partner vets, a microchip with free lifetime registration, a high quality nylon Martingale collar for dogs over 4 months old, a health certificate deeming the pup healthy for travel, cost of transport*, and many priceless years of love and loyal companionship! *WE ARE TOLD THAT WE GO ABOVE AND BEYOND MEDICALLY. This is the feedback we tend to get, although we cannot guarantee perfect health. *To fully vet a dog in the PNW at many vets it would be upwards of $1,800 just to fix, vaccinate, chip, etc. The adoption fees charged by our rescue do not cover our expenses medically for each animal, but we offset costs with donations. I was rescued during the hurricane so there are things that still frighten me. But I am eager to learn and build confidence.I love to play with small dogs, but I do like to keep my own toys. Balls are my favorite and teething rings; you know like to ones you can have for babies? I will even return them to you if you throw them for me. I am a smart girl, I learned how to use the doggie door to go outside for potty all by myself!Like I said I still have many things to learn but I am working on some basic commands like sit and stay. I know how to give a paw and my foster mom says that is so cute. I am learning how to walk on a leash but sometimes I still pull if I see something interesting. Right now, I spend a lot of time outside but I really would like to have a house to be in all the time. He is expected to get up to about 50-55# when grown. These pups were found in a water culvert after a good rain. The lady that found them had her hands full with so many pups. They were in great need for all the medical… deworming, de-fleeing, and de-ticking. Of course, we also did the vaccinations. It took about a week of good food and they were looking 100% better…running and playing and barking at the top of their lungs. It was such a wonderful sound. They love to play with toys and people. They will make such great family dogs. Have you ever read a novel that has so many twist and turns that by the time you get to the last chapter, you have NO idea who won and who is the REAL good guy?? Well, I believe my life is like that. I came from somewhere, no one really knows where, and I ended up at the pound, somehow.... So i was actually adopted as a cute puppy from the pound..... and THEN 5 months later... I was saved at a busy intersection with a badly injured back leg.... no "family" around :( SO, luckily I was saved by a RESCUER!!! I mean, what are the odds?? So my name is Artie and now I am healed up and looking for my furever REAL family. I am a great sized pup, 30# of fun and love and all kinds of playtime! I love to run and play, tug of war and keep away I excel at and the zoomies too! I am great with other dogs, and kids and am ok with cats but require a good introduction and experienced dog/cat introducer with monitoring as I may chase a kittie if it runs. So, I also have learned quite a few commands, sit, stay, crate, working on leave it. I am super smart AND MOTIVATED to help find my next best chapter.
