Meet Dale! A dog whose story is one of strength, determination, and endless affection.   Dale’s journey began in Costa Rica, where he survived being hit by a car more than two years ago. Although his injuries weren’t treated immediately, Dale never let that define his future. He sustained a spinal injury, but what he lacks in mobility at times, he more than makes up for in heart.   Before coming to the U.S., Dale lived on a farm with many other dogs, then spent several months in the home of a veterinarian receiving more frequent laser therapy. That care continues here, along with acupuncture, and while ongoing physical therapy may bring improvement, Dale has already proven he knows how to adapt and thrive.   Dale cruises confidently in his wheelchair, earning him his fitting nickname after Dale Earnhardt and when he’s out of it, he still gets around surprisingly well. Indoors, he wears a belly band to prevent accidents and happily uses a doggie door.   What truly makes Dale special is his personality. He absolutely adores people and soaks up attention from anyone willing to give it. He’s a devoted shadow, following his humans from room to room just to be close, and he’s a world-class snuggler. Dale does wonderfully with kids and currently lives peacefully with other dogs in his foster home.   After everything he’s endured, Dale deserves a loving home where he can finally settle in and feel secure. He’ll give unwavering loyalty and affection.   Dale is one of eight dogs rescued from Costa Rica, all given a second chance at life, and now it’s his turn to find his forever family.   If you’re ready to open your heart to a truly remarkable dog, please fill out an application on our website. Sweetie has spent her entire life proving what unconditional love looks like. Adopted as a puppy from Maricopa County, she expected to spend her golden years with the family she knew. Instead, through no fault of her own, this gentle soul found herself looking for a new beginning at ten years old. Thankfully, Sweetie hasn't let life's unexpected changes dim her spirit. This 46-pound, white Pointer mix is every bit as sweet as her name suggests. She still has plenty of pep in her step, loves chasing tennis balls, and happily soaks up every bit of affection she can get. She recently had a dental, so her bright smile now comes with a fresh set of pearly whites to match her sunny personality! Sweetie is in wonderful shape for her age and doesn't act like a typical senior. She would love a family that appreciates the calm confidence of an older dog while still enjoying her playful side. She would do well with gentle children and friendly dogs and is ready to become a cherished member of a loving home. Sweetie's adoption fee of $150 includes her spay, vaccinations, microchip, and a complimentary wellness visit at Phoenix Mountain Animal Hospital. If you’re looking for an amazing dog, stop scrolling! Rex is a two-year-old, 52-pound brindle Pointer mix, and we cannot say enough wonderful things about this incredibly sweet boy. Rex is an absolute angel! Rex nearly lost his life at Maricopa County because of an unresolved upper respiratory infection. Thankfully, he made his way to HFG, where he received the care he needed, and that medical issue is now completely resolved! Rex is feeling great and ready to find the family he deserves. And what a dog he is! Rex is sweet, gentle, affectionate, and incredibly easygoing. He has one of those wonderful, even-tempered personalities that makes everyone who meets him fall in love. He adores people and is happy to spend time with them, whether he’s getting attention or simply hanging out nearby. Rex also loves squeaky toys and is remarkably gentle with them. Around other dogs, he is polite and completely non-reactive. He just goes about his business like the gentleman he is. Seriously, Rex is a GEM! Anyone lucky enough to adopt Rex is going to have an amazing companion. He has all the qualities you could hope for in a dog, and after everything he has overcome, we can’t wait to see him finally get the happy ending he deserves! Meet Bella, aka Specks, the lovable Pitbull mix who will steal your heart with her wagging tail and big amber eyes. (Bella) was going to be euthanized with her unborn babies if she didn't find a foster within 24hrs. I knew she had so much love to offer if she was given a chance to live. She really does deserves the world, but will be so grateful for hugs, kisses & lots of love. She's been through a lot including an emergency C-section unfortunately losing a couple babies. She is completely obsessed with her 2 little survivors, they can't be out of her sight for 30 seconds or she'll start to cry for them. She is a loyal companion that has so much to offer her future furever human. She loves running around, chewing her toys up & playing with kids. She is not aware of how big she is, so she will knock you off your feet if you are off guard but she will apologize with kisses. She is so smart, she will stand by the door when she needs to use the potty. Shes completely potty trained. She hasn't shown any signs of aggression. She really is the sweetest baby. She plays with my kids daily ages 10,6,1 yrs old. only thing she needs to work on, is going on walks & chewing up stuff that doesn't belong to her. Other than that. She's perfect
